Our department is just a joke when compared to SPD or St. Pete PD, even Palmetto PD has a better reputation than us right now, the Chief is just horrible when comes to promoting the hard work we do, say what you want about DePino but at least she is respected, and gets anything she wants from the City of Sarasota for her troops! We need some new leaders from the Chief down through Captain NOW!!!

We received a complaint on this thread and, after reviewing it, I was forced to delete messages accusing others of LYING and messages that included NAME CALLING and recommendations for TERMINATION. Please post within our Terms of Use and remember that they are for your protection as well as ours. Accusing someone of lying is a flag for defamation of character, even if that person is the Chief of Police. Yes, it is possible to make those statements on our forum but you better have PROOF and/or USE YOUR REAL NAME for obvious reasons. Thanks!
