Wow! He is probably in trouble here but its because he lied about it. Its not the crime its the cover up that gets you. He could have easily said YES I ran a plate for a city councilman because it was a suspicious vehicle, case closed. Now, it has gone to $hit. I still think that he was way better than Hogle or Thorpe and we have a cub scout troop of babies here playing cop. Look yourself in the mirror when you pile on Razz

It's over, anything said was not official and under oath during any official investigation. A conversation in the lobby or a quote to a shady news reporter don't mean s$it. Even FDLE won't get excited over a single infraction, if they did 90% of all cops in the state would be up the creek. It will only stay alive here on this site.

I hope the Chief stays because he will never be able to discipline any of us ever again for stalking or cussing people out...because we will just say you did it!!!! LOL

The Chief makes us all look like a bunch of liars and low-life scum. People who can't control their anger and avoid using language like that have no business in Law Enforcement. And then to lie and try to cover it up just makes things worse.
He goes from one embarrassing incident to another.
