Lightbulb Radzilowski tells former officer to "**** off"

Brittingham was paid to record license plates of elected members of the Bradenton City Council meeting at the home of Manatee County principals Kris and Judy Bayer.

The identity of the client who hired the former police officer is protected by state law.

Brittingham drove through the neighborhood and took pictures of vehicles and wrote down the tags when Bradenton City Councilman Gene Gallo emerged from Bayer's home leading a group of people.

“They literally surrounded my truck,” Brittingham said. “Gene Gallo and the homeowner were yelling 'Get his tag! Get his tag!' ”

After Brittingham departed, Gallo called BPD Police Chief Mike Radzilowski, who ran the PI's license plate through his dispatch center, even though Brittingham was far outside the city limits of Bradenton. Gallo acknowledged giving the chief the PI's tag.

Radzilowski said, “They called and said there was a suspicious vehicle in the neighborhood.”

Brittingham said, “Later, a dark-colored Dodge Charger parked outside my house. It definitely was a cop. It drove away when I came out.” It just so happens that Radzilowski drives an unmarked navy blue Dodge Charger.

Brittingham became suspicious and made a public records request to FDLE to determine if anyone ran his license plate.

    FDLE's response was revealing.

“My tag was run on the day of the top secret meeting — just minutes after I left,” Brittingham said.

The PI tried to find out why Radzilowski ran his tag while he was outside the chief's jurisdiction. Most of Brittingham's public records requests went unanswered or were rejected.

That led to a meeting between the police chief and the private investigator in the lobby of BPD.

“He met me at the bottom of the stairs,” Brittingham recalled. “He said, 'Your tag was legally run for an investigation not by this PD.' "

Brittingham suggested they continue the meeting in a private office. Radzilowski asked why.

“I told him, 'If you're gonna stand here and lie to me, we should have this in a private office,' ” Brittingham said.

Radzilowski does not dispute what came next. The police chief blew up. “He said, 'F--- off! If you want your records, sue me! Get the f--- out of here!' ”

Brittingham pointed out that the police department was open to the public and that no one had the right to eject him from a public building.

It didn't matter, a “husky” sergeant grabbed him and escorted him and his business partner out the front door.

As an ex-officer, Brittingham's personal information is protected by state law. He says...

Razz is now just a distraction to this agency he needs to be gone just like WM, he has made an AZZ out of himself with the WM and everyone at the baseball games laugh at Razz's antics. Now there will be even more drama as Gallo throws him under the bus to save himself. Never a dull day around here!

Chief Radz did you really tell the newspaper that you couldn't remember if Gallo was the one that called you, the Councilman Gallo, maybe the old age is really kicking in. I am sure you will make a great witness in "your" recent arrest of the S-3 drivers "Chief do you recall what they were wearing when you spotted them?" response, "did I make an arrest, I don't remember that" I love how he gets front page headlines for arresting someone, like that's not something we do everyday, and it is just part of our job. This guy is going to take credit for anything to make himself look good now he has stooped to an even lower level.
