Yes, it was. He was right to stay out of this. Sarasota PD may end up paying thousands of dollars in the lawsuit over their camera program.

Knight's "fear" of deputies recording naked or "scantily clad" women in their homes is completely unrealistic. All real cops who have worked in law enforcement understand that. Only a buffoon would be "scared" of recording half naked women.

Given our local press and the "if it bleeds, it prints" approach to journalism, nude domestic scenes involving cops and domestic partners may be something Sheriff Knight dreams of, but it's something I can't recall reading about in Sarasota. Ever.
I’ve had women try to kiss me and be flirtatious. Once we were dispatched to a home to execute a warrant for this guy, so we knocked on the front door and then a completely nude woman answered, but that was her choice to stand there butt naked with her front door WIDE OPEN. No clothes. No embarrassment. No modesty. She just stood there with a full frontal pose and she and said, “Yeaa? What do you want?” She was gorgeous BUT it was her legal choice to do that. She opened the front door to the street and just stood there nekked for all the world to see. But how often does that happen? Rarely. And if a dude did what she did, then we would have arrested him for indecent exposure in public! But the myth that we barge into homes and that we subsequently see half-naked women is ridiculous. Thank gawd that Tom Lyons recorded the ridiculous context of Knight’s nutty statement.

And you're an incompetent imbecile if you can't see the lawsuits arising out of these encounters without state laws covering the keeping or releasing such images.

Dreams are for free, but so are gooey Knightmares.

Over the past 18 years, I've worked numerous cases involving nude or semi nude women (and men). Most were domestic or mentally ill individuals who always want to disrobe. None of these people would want photos or video of themselves released and would no doubt sue.

Ive seen more skin at the beach than the domestic orgies that Knight is describing. Also, the senate bill and the media are sane in their proposals.

The bottom line is that Knight is embarrassed for being quoted for making stupid comments about deputies filming naked women in their homes. It is all a fear tactic by Knight. However. Tom Lyons printed Knights left field comments and now Knight is desperate to redeem himself. Again!!!

If Tom Lyons had not printed Knights nutty nudity comments about naked housewives being filmed with copcams, then the public would not believe it.

Knight is his own worst enemy.
