Promos 2015
2015 is the Year of the Sheep (Chinese zodiac)
MEMO from DeKay 2/28/2014
Eligibility lists for Police Lieutenant and Police Seargeant
I have recieved from Human Resources the final scoring in the promotional process. Attached are the rank-ordered elibigility lists.
Promotions will be made for the currently vacant lieutenant and sergeant positions. After the new Police Chief is in place, additional promotions
will be made to fill vacant staff positions. The filling of these positions will create additional opportunities for promotion from these eligibility
lists.

Police Major
Wild cards, the question is who's been lobbying the most to show a big work product by making underlings do all the work while he/she took all the credit and then took on even more tasks to impress the chief

All the a$$ kissers and disgruntled comments aside there're some pretty good hard working candidates on both lists. It's going to be interesting to see what comes out of the Major promotions first. Somewhere around ten put in. Let's take a look at them: (feel free to correct or add as needed)
Lts:
Dente
Hughes
Sgts:
Coeyman
Mailhoit
Turner
Davis
Peaton
Williams

Why has Sgt Davis been sitting in on the FTO interviews? She's never been an FTO. She's not an FTO sergeant. She's not the FTO acting lt. In fact she has absolutely nothing to do with the FTO unit.

Two items appeared in The Weekly Challenger on the same day 12/24/2014. See how nicely they dovetail?
Chimurenga Waller representing the Uhuru Movement in St. Pete:
“We have control over the police—who is hired in the black community, who is fired, who is investigated"
http://theweeklychallenger.com/repai...mmunity-forum/
Mayor Kriseman and Deputy Mayor Kanika Tomalin: "We are well on our way to realizing our vision of St. Petersburg"
http://theweeklychallenger.com/open-...rom-the-mayor/
Chimichanga's extended message = "we picked the chief, we control promotions and transfers, we direct policy changes" (such as that wildhairyazzed ignorant unprofessional and potentially illegal non-arrest directive in the chief's infamous Hug-A-Thug memo.

It's Amy Foster's baby now becuz Wengay stomped out when he didn't get his way. It sounds like Wengay found a shortcut with the chief behind closed doors. All chiefypoo needs to ramrod it thru is someone on staff, ideally hungry for promo who's in over his head, wears blinders, and says yes a lot. Amy Foster wants a "Second Chance" program, Wengay wants a 3rd and 4th chance. She'll figure it out when County law dogs go ballistic. Wengay's man Kriseman seems p.o.'d at Amy for not being in lockstep....maybe they just want to make her look bad when chiefypoo's arrangement blows up and they pin it on her.

Kriseman said the council lacked leadership. Amy Foster doesn’t see it that way.“When everybody is done having their little temper tantrums about it, we’re going to move forward...."

Holloway has my support.
Chief Holloway has my support. I pray he stays strong and on task and makes positive changes around here. We needed a strong outsider to come in here and move us out of the past and into the future, as a agency our thinking is 20 years behind the times. We have been stagnant for a long time and people around here are happy to remain in the same position for years. Holloway represents a move to the future and a sense of career building and broadening our experiences so we bring more to the table instead of a small fixed bag of tricks. We are now through the holidays and let's just give him a little more time to fix the problems around here and show that he has not lost his way.
