Does anyone remember Detective Melvin
Santiago? He was a Jersey City police officer
who was shot to death just a month ago, on July
13th. Santiago was white. His killer,
Lawrence Campbell, was black. Does anyone
recall Obama appearing before national
television and calling for justice for Officer
Santiago's family? Does anyone recall Eric
Holder (what a joke he is) rushing to Jersey City to see that justice was done?
How about Officer Jeffrey Westerfield. He was a
Gary, Indiana police officer who was shot to
death last month on July 6th. Westerfield was
white. His killer, Carl LeEllis Blount, Jr. was
black. Where was Obama? Where was Holder?
Or Officer Perry Renn? He was an Indianapolis,
Indiana police officer who was shot to death
just last month on July 5th, the day before
Officer Westerfield was killed. Officer Renn
was white. His killer, Major Davis, was
black. I don't recall any mention by Obama
about the untimely death of Officer Renn. And,
I doubt that Eric Holder rushed to Indianapolis
to make sure justice was done. Or, maybe I just missed it.
Vermillion Parish Deputy Sheriff Allen Bares was
gunned down by two men just last June 23rd in
Louisiana. Deputy Bares was white. His two
killers, Quintlan Richard and Baylon Taylor,
were black. Was Obama outraged? Did Eric
Holder rush to Louisiana to make sure that the
family of Deputy Bares found justice?
Here in Killeen, TX, Detective Charles
Dinwiddie of the Killeen Police Department was
murdered by Marvin Lewis Guy, a black
male. Officer Dinwiddie was white. This
happened on May 11th, just over two months
ago. I don't even recall seeing anything
about that on the news. Certainly, the white
citizens in Killeen didn't take to the streets
to loot and burn businesses. Again, I don't
recall any mention by Obama or Holder.
Then, there is Officer Kevin Jordan of the
Griffin, Georgia Police Department. He was
gunned down just two months ago on May
31st. Officer Jordan was black. His killer,
Michael Bowman, was white. This was a white man
murdering a black police officer. Where was
Jesse Jackson? Where was "The Reverend" Al
Sharpton? Was there looting and burning on the
streets of Griffin, Georgia? No. In fact, I
don't recall hearing about this one in the news,
as well. Why? You can draw your own conclusions.
Over the past 60 days, there have been five
reported deaths of police officers by gunshot in
the US. Of those, four were white officers who
were murdered by black men. Blacks complain
that white officers threaten black men more
aggressively on the street. You can draw your
own conclusions on that one, as well.

The Truth Hurts
Very well said! The fact of the matter is that hundreds of white police officers are killed by black suspects each decade and not once has the white or black community staged violent protests or looting. The other fact of the matter is that black violence against the white population in the United States outnumbers white on black violence by nearly 100 to 1. Yup, ONE HUNDRED to ONE! Despite this disturbing ratio, the media has a history of only sensationalizing the white on black incidents and labeling them as "hate crimes"?
Based upon the above facts, why do American Citizens of either race allow this to continue and go unchecked? Far worse is the black on black violence in the United States. Every weekend in cities like Chicago, New York and Detroit, nearly 50 to 100 black lives are lost due to black on black violence. These numbets are only limited to several cities, where as across the entire country the numbers would be in the hundreds on any given weekend, yet we continue to put blinders on and play the "blame somebody else" game. Unfortunately it is usually white America that gets the blame and the Police have become a easy target.

What do either of the above letters have to do with a police officer shooting an unarmed man. How can a suspect who is running away be a threat to the life of an officer?
That is what this whole damn story is about. Not white, not black, not POTUS or anything else.
I have watched our job turn from a profession of serve and protect to nothing less the a paid uniformed lynch mob.
The officer ****ed up, and the department ****ed up trying to cover his ass.
That is it plain and simple.
The story from the chief is that Wilson is hiding and under protection because he fears for his life.
Bullshit! The department has him in hiding, coaching him to get his story straight. I have seen this shit happen over and over when one of ours royally screws up. If you think it is anything else, then you are lying to yourself.
To the last posted letter, no one put a gun to our head and marched us off to an academy and forced us to become a law enforcement officer.
We knew what the hell we were getting into when you chose the career.
So either suck it up and deal with it, our leave the god damn job.

Gets better and BETTER
YOU JUST can't handle the TRUTH can you!!!! It will get better when all Police Officers can shoot as GOOD as Officer Wilson. Our boy hits a charging phsyco , 2 head shots, with one usable eye. Good Marine. BUT you would be happier if that fat POS robber disarmed Wilson and killed him with his own gun, would you not ??? SORRY *****. Happy ending.

The protests in Ferguson, presented a dilemma for the anti-government crowed. The activists and elected officials who spent the spring fawning over lawless Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s stand against what they saw as an overbearing federal government changed their tune or just went silent when a police force armed with military weapons cracked down on mostly peaceful protesters in Ferguson.
Lets examine the “inherent contradiction” in the membership of St. Louis County police officer Dan Page, who was suspended after he shoved a CNN reporter and the video of a violent rant he made came to light in Oath Keepers, a group whose entire founding purpose is a fear of violent government overreach against unarmed citizens.
For all their delusions, the Oath Keepers seem tailor-made to counter the surreal overarmed police state that may have played a role in Michael Brown's death by cop in Ferguson, and that has ebbed and flowed through the streets there ever since. The oath that Oath Keepers keep is to disobey a set of orders they believe may be given by government authorities . Hence they swear, in part:
We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.
We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.
We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.
So with the over reach of the city government the Oath Keeper in the Ferguson PD and St. Louis County PD broke ranks and came to the aid of the protesters armed tot the teeth right? Well in actuality that would be a big fat damn NO!
The Missouri chapter of the Oath Keepers has sent a “letter of warning” to Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon in opposition to police tactics against the protesters. But the Oath Keepers’ opposition seems to be based less on principle than on strategy — in a separate blog post, the national group objects to the police failure to stop looting while it took aim at peaceful protesters. The blog post also notes that Oath Keepers on the scene in Ferguson were “talking consensus for the benefit of the police and the people equally.” This role of self-appointed mediator is in sharp contrast to the group’s show of force at the Bundy ranch. You can not spell bullshit hypocrisy any better then that.
Ferguson has exposed some common ground between the anti-government Right and mainstream civil liberties groups — for instance, both the extreme right-wing Gun Owners of America and the American Civil Liberties Union have signed on to a plan to end the program that sends discount military equipment to local police departments.
Well at least the Gun Owners of America came to the rescue of the protesters right? Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllll,
that would be another big fat ****ing no to.
Gun Owners of America’s executive director Larry Pratt, however, has been uncharacteristically quiet about Ferguson, linking on Twitter to the Missouri Oath Keepers’ letter to Nixon, but also to an article claiming that Michael Brown wasn’t unarmed because he was “young and strong.” GOA sent out an email arguing that violence in Ferguson was just another reason why people should be allowed to own AR-15s.
Well the real true patriots, the militia groups at the Bundy ranch in Nevada came to the protesters rescue with guns drawn to face down the government oppressors right?
That would be the biggest "NO" of all.
Sheriff Richard Mack, the founder of a group that believes that county sheriffs are the highest law enforcement officers in the land, has also been strangely silent on Ferguson, despite having spent time rallying against the federal government at the Bundy ranch with armed militia groups that he compared to Rosa Parks.
And then there’s Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a Bundy ally who, as the situation in Ferguson escalated, crowed about the combat supplies that he had amassed for his own department.
Yes, the relative silence of the anti-government Right on Ferguson is inconsistent, but so is their view of the Ferguson protests: In the view of many right-wing activists, the protesters in Ferguson weren’t standing up to the government, they were themselves tools of the government.
There is a school of thought among right-wing commentators that the protests in Ferguson were orchestrated or at the very least encouraged by Attorney General Eric Holder and the Obama administration in order to stir up racial resentments and increase Democratic chances in the 2014 midterm elections.
This paranoid scenario is in line with Pratt’s fear, expressed last year, that President Obama is on the verge of starting a race war against white people.
The Ferguson protests exposed a key fault line in the anti-government "Patriot" movement: they are against government overreach, but their definition of what counts as government never seems to be quite clear.
Well that should rap things up for now. Oh, I typed this letter real slow so the mental midgets here (like the ones who made the last two post) can mouth the words with more then two syllables a little easier.
So long, and thanks for all the fish.

I don't know why I even bother to reply back to someone as obviously ignorant as you, but what the heck, as maybe just a tiny bit of reality and common sense might actually seep through your thick skull, but then again I doubt it. However, I certainly hope you are not a current law enforcement officer in any capacity, as you would certainly do more harm then good with your cynical attitude towards police.
Let me just say that "No", nobody put a gun to my head or to the head of any of the hundreds of fine men & women I know who at one time or another proudly wore a law enforcement uniform. Are there some out there now or in the past that should not have been in this profession, "Yes". But having worked for decades side by side with hundreds of fellow law enforcement officers at multiple agencies, I personally know just how rare it is to have a rogue cop out in the field with todays scrutiny of police. The real problem today in this profession, is that society ONLY concentrates on and captures the moment a law enforcement officer makes a mistake or very rarely commits a crime. The unfortunate result of this constant news search to look for and then sensationalize any story of a cop doing wrong, gives society the impression that most cops are out of control and doing wrong. The facts however, neglect to show that these are very isolated incidents in comparison to the tens of thousands of law enforcement officers that do proudly and courageously "Protect & Serve" our communities, despite being horribly paid. I wish that before some of these misguided folks formed a opinion on how cops should act, they had the chance to ride along or spend even one day patrolling a urban, high populated area.
I'll close by saying that it is quite sad that society and the media seems to only concentrate and pay attention to the negatives, particularly whenever law enforcement is involved and completely overlooks and ignores the overwhelming majority of cops who are doing great things and more often then not, going above & beyond the call of duty. What seems to get lost in all of this is the fact that cops are being killed & injured at astonishing record levels right now across America, yet the media, mostly the liberal Democratic media, would rather do a big story about agencies having access to Armored Personnel Vehicles (not tanks!) which shield these officers from gunfire! Let me just add this; and that's the fact that everybody keeps yelling about how this was a unarmed encounter between Officer Wilson and Michael Brown, when in reality there was a firearm involved, the one that Officer Wilson rightfully wore on his gunbelt. Additionally, the number of law enforcement officers that end up dead after being shot with their own handgun following a scuffle is staggering. What's even more sad is the fact that IF THIS HAD HAPPENED IN THIS FERGUSON CASE, it would have been nothing more then a "blip" on the national radar screen. Now maybe some can understand the frustration, stress and sense of hopelessness that many cops feel and deal with on a daily basis as well.

A couple days ago, the FBI reported that it had obtained an audio recording of Michael Brown’s murder by Officer Darren Wilson. This stunning evidence was delivered into the hands of the Bureau by unnamed man living in an apartment near the shooting.
It just so happens that at the time, the man was recording a video message for a friend, and the app recorded the sounds of either 10 or 11 shots (recent analysis says 10) fired during the encounter.
The man, not recognizing the gunfire for what it was until afterward, continued in his affectionate conversation until he went out to check on the source of the noise. But you can clearly hear the shots, coming in roughly two groups:
One..Two…Three Four Five Six…(three second pause)…Seven..Eight…Nine Ten.

What’s most disturbing, and most telling about the shots isn’t just the number of shots fired, but the way they were fired. Particularly that conspicuous pause in the middle.

It was likely during this time that Michael Brown turned around, Wilson stopped pursuing, and deliberately readjusted his aim to hit Brown square in the head as he was falling.
Those familiar with guns and pistols in particular know that firing a pistol repeatedly as Wilson does on shots three through six causes the gun’s barrel to rise; this forces the shooter to pause for a moment to lower the barrel and reacquire the target. These “tracking” pauses each indicate a target reacquisition; every time you hear one, Wilson is adjusting his aim.
The audio was confirmed to have been recorded at or near the time Brown was murdered by the video chat app’s developers, Glide. This authentication by Glide makes the audio evidence de facto admissible as evidence in court…
The audio of the gun shots dovetails right in with several eyewitness accounts of how the shooting went down.

Another Assumption Among Many
I also have extensive training in the tactical use of firearms and the pause in the gunfire could have occurred for many different scenarios. Depending on what side of the incident so many foolish people have chosen to take without knowing ALL THE FACTS, a biased minded person will irrationally determine how the gunfire audio tape fits their belief of what happened. It's sad that after so much progress in this nation to stamp out racism, including the election of a African American President and the appointment of a African American Attorney General among many other instances of equality, it is pathetically obvious that the African American citizens of this nation will NEVER be satisfied. Honestly, if this Free Nation, where tens of thousands of brave Serviceman have died to protect is so terrible in your opinion, then PLEASE LEAVE. I promise you that you will quickly find out just how good you have it here. I also promise you that no other country will bend over backward as much as the United States has to appease the African American citizens of this country. The vast majority of ALL AMERICANS are just trying to survive and raise their families in this country and are growing sick and tired of having to listen to the "Race Card" excuse every time something happens between races or doesn't go how African Americans want it.
Please stop listening to the Al Sharpton's, Jesse Jackson's and Louis Farrakhan's, who are only out for themselves and trying to line their own pockets with blood money. Please try listening for a change to the growing number of Conservative African Americans in this country that are simply asking for TRUE EQUALITY for ALL RACES and place attention on the root causes of the perceived racial divide among us. It's NOT the color of ones skin that is keeping some from their full potential in this country, but rather the sense of hopelessness and despair that all races in this country face when the economy is struggling. More importantly, it starts at home in the African American communities, where the absence of a father figure or many times any attentive parent is the biggest contributor to young males and females finding themselves on the wrong side of the law. In turn, these frequent negative contacts with the police leads to the incorrect thought process that the police are the enemy in the minds of many African Americans. I think that is a natural response, but not a correct or fair one. On top of this, it is difficult for police agencies to find qualified African American applicants due to the totality of the above mentioned circumstances and it is again unfair to automatically criticize the police departments when they don't have a abundance of African American officers.
There have been so many mistakes made during this entire Ferguson incident, some rightfully due to the fact that Ferguson is a small agency and has never before dealt with a police involved shooting, which by itself alone shows that the department and it's officers are certainly not trigger happy and looking to gun down African American males, as some want to portray them as doing. Additionally, with all the perceived racial mistrust of the police by African Americans in this country, just imagine how difficult it is for a police officer to do their jobs in this racially charged atmosphere. The police are humans too and they grow very weary and over time get extremely frustrated with the well known lack of cooperation and assistance they get while working in these communities. Many times they are there simply trying to help a African American crime victim and can't get any community assistance, but rather nothing but hindrance and racial name calling by the community. Ultimately, I wish both sides could switch shoes for a extended period of time, so that each could better understand the barriers that have been created over a extended period of time between the police and many African Americans in this country.

Please show in the following posts #1,3,4,6,8,9,10,13,16,18 where race was mentioned in the shooting of Michael Brown.
You will be looking for a long damn time. Do you know why? Because the race of the shooting victim and the officer involved is never mentioned once.
Try as you might, and for as long as you might, you just are not going to find it in any of them. You on the other hand, state you are tired of the "race card" being played all the time, yet you pointedly bring it up numerous times. Not just two or three times, you bring it up over a dozen times in in just three paragraphs.
In fact with the exception of your first two sentences, which is about 2% of your entire post, the other 98% is nothing but about race.
Your writings have the taint like they came straight out of Stormfront or Vanguard.
I mentioned this once before to another poster who was tired of "the race card" being played all the time. Like you though he did nothing but deal out that card game over and over.
So here goes, I am a Irish American cop. Or more to your thinking and labeling, A ****, a Paddy, a Taig or the ever popular potato eater.
Now with that, take your "I'm not a racist" racist attitude and shove it where you put your lips on your watch commander. That is if you even are an LEO.
