You're going to have to be a little more specific if you want an answer to your question. :P

What's wrong with it, I feel very bad for the public and the troopers out in the field. Very scary

What’s wrong with the TRCC? that depends on who you ask. Ask management/the Brass and they will probably tell you that nothing is wrong with it. Ask the dispatchers that have been there a while and I am sure they will talk your ear off with a list of problems. You ask me, I say that they have all been disillusioned from doing anything more than the minimum of what is required from them. There are many good dispatchers at the TRCC but when even GHQ has shown themselves not care about the conditions and issues the TRCC is facing, it makes it just that much hard to want to work for them. :|

Extreme burnout due to under staffing, people leaving to go to other agencies- more and more "perks" taken away- no real break times, the public yelling at us for taking to long to answer the phones, the troopers yelling at us for taking too long on the radio or being distracted (because we're on the phones), management yelling at us for everything else.... Should we go on?

When was the last time you went in to thank a dispatcher? How many of you know them by name? How many of you think they are useless and don't care about you? If you fall into the last catagory... it comes across on the radios and phones...

I started reading that post thinking you were describing a trooper.

    Re: RCC's

Well they could answer the phone if they did not run people off and people wanted to stay. It's a huge case of negligence of the management to treat the public in such a way. If they only knew. It is very scary for the troopers, for them to know that their communication center is in shambles must be frightening. Hopefully one day the will hire qualified supervisors to HELP dispatchers get the job done. And yes Troopers don't have it so great either way understaffed on Road Patrol, everyone's busy being a Sgt. now, THI, Lt. at the station or chilling at GHQ. Meanwhile..... the DOS is playing on Ebay all day and yelling out.

Management does not want a well oiled RCC. Resource Analysis was never done and will be not done. Nor will an Organization Effective Review ever be done on Rcc's. Why? it would show what Resources are needed to run these centers and that does not coincide with the Budget or bottom line. Not Rocket Science just plain old Common Sense and nothing more.

You mean "the ole man" yea, he run's the manager, who hides the truth from the Major because he can't control the supervisor's under him.... The other RCC's are way better all the way around....
