How sad that all of the Affirmative Action intellectually bankrupt that post here have missed the point.
Before politics poisoned the profession, we used to be in the “Respect Business”. We were entrusted with enforcing the laws and received the respect of those who we served in a mutually beneficial relationship.
In spite of what you may hear on television, the vast majority of the populace which we serve does not hold Homosexuals in high esteem. Depending in the area you serve, your sexual preference may have an effect on your ability to carry out your duties.
It’s difficult to maintain your sexual anonymity at work when you openly march in the Fantasy Fest.
