    Go to the FCIC public access website and enter the tag and it will tell you if it's reported stolen. The website is at:

    Look at the bar on the far left side of the screen and you can also see if your buddies have any warrants out for them. You can run all kinds of queries online because it's public information. Nothing to hide.
