That's disgusting! All administrations have done it but not like this one. This one is one of a kind.
Let me ask you, are you referring to our Director or County administration? You do understand that the Director isn't the one dictating hiring practices nor promotions right? Another question to you, what issues do you have with those promoted or being hired? Doesn't take a brain surgeon to understand why ALL administrations have and will continue to mirror the community and it's diversity. Are you saying "this one is one of a kind" because of the color of his skin? I would hope that's not the case because if it is you are the problem!

Very we'll said, our department has always hired with the goal of mirroring our community. If only the superman in Midwest understood that, he'd still be in PMB.

How naive are you? This director does not care about who or what gets promoted, he cares about padding his retirement and saying how high? when Mayor Gimenez says jump! What qualifies Elisa Thompson, Nancy Perez or Richard Amion to be majors? Thank God they demoted Carmen Pichardo, at least they got that one right. The brass couldn't care any less for our kind, they thrive in controlling us with their little overtime, days off and choice assignments. It's an ego trip brother, wake up!

That may have been true until JD started changin up the rules of the game. You don't lower standards just to hire the right number of one group or another. Standards are what maintain integrity!

Don't open that door cause this thread can get nasty. Just enjoy the ride until 2016, cause the wrongs will be righted.

You need to do some fact checking. JD didn't promote any of these to major. Perez and Amion are a Loftus thing and it stems from their relations with him while Perez was in Robbery and Amion in the north end. As for Elise, she should have been fired when she pulled a gun during a domestic with her ex as well as for an array of other stunts. She complained to the commission about the community not be represented and the fact she was a captain forever. Thus the social promotion. Wait, the last one sounds like some recent ones - DD and Chief O.

Unfortunately, the only community being mirrored is Northside under this administration. While Gimenez is busy with getting his friends and family county contracts, he is allowing this administration, with the help of certain commisioners, to run with the ball so to speak and push their agenda. Major Ramirez was probably not down with the program and got the boot for it. So don't give us that mirroring the community bullshit.

Love to hear from someone that actually has details on this.
