Their father served over 20 years at Tampa Police Department, and their uncle serves at Hillsborough County Sheriff's office. IT RUNS IN THEIR BLOOD. They were both born to be in law enforcement and they are proving themselves. They BOTH went through the academy and they BOTH had to do the same exact things as everyone else to become a police officer. Props to them both for probably having to constantly out through the wringer for being related to someone in the agency. Stay strong boys!
Since you mentioned Indian Shores, this is a funny vid of Chief Swann making an ass of himself at about the 11:00 mark.

Yup, that's the way it's been at the PCSO from the very beginning in 1912 when the Whitehurst family had five brothers appointed to Sheriffs all over the area. The McMullens then permeated the agency and even used to dress their kids in little custom made PCSO uniforms at age 5. The inbreeding at the agency has been a tradition with fathers covering for sons, sons covering for moms and daughters covering everything in the back rooms. Just one big incestual shindig of Deliverance proportions. I almost expect to hear banjo music every time I come through the doors.

The family dynasties are alive and well here and they keep promoting themselves, on merit or not. Doesn't really matter. That's what keeps good qualified non-connected people from getting ahead in this agency, and eventually give up trying because they know the system is rigged against them. The nepotism and corruption are over the top here. Just do your job, stay under their radar and leave as soon as you get your pension or a better job.
