For all of you who think that cops suck and etc., why don't you put on your big boy pants on and get hired on by a police academy and become a cop and change it from within? And if you can't get hired on then go on multiple (not just one or two) ride alongs. And when you make the request to go on a ride along, ask to ride with a cop that is working the worst area of the city crime-wise and make sure its on a night or midnight shift and not on a Sunday or a holiday when most things are quiet. Or if you can't handle that, then go out to a very busy intersection to direct traffic and watch how many drivers almost hit you or other drivers because they are too arrogant or too distracted to think that when you tell them to stop, you really don't mean it. Some weeks, you can't even take your mourning band long enough to give it a break.

i've seen enough negative clips concerning THIS police department to make my skin crawl. I know you aren't all corrupt, but the fact that you don't punish the ones who are destroys your credibility. We are terrified of cops now. My sister was raped and the cops accused her of being a prostitute because the criminal who raped her said it... we had to hire a private investigator to build evidence. eventually we managed to get a case brought against him... Granted this has nothing to do with your force, but from all the clips i've seen of cops stomping all over civil rights in your town, i don't trust them either! U wanna ***** about your job... fine, but dont pretend u became a cop to help me. u wanted the badge and the gun... You would lie under oath to protect another cop because that's what y'all do...

Its happening all over the country, and we don't trust you anymore! that's why whenever we have to deal with you, we record it. In my neighborhood we have a community watch that does nothing but monitor police activity. My city's department has an outstanding record, but thanks to other corrupt police departments that border us, we don't take any chances. We are more scared of you than we are of the criminals you're supposed to protect us from. Sheriff's department is suspected of assassinating a man who was having rallies to inform the public of a rodney king style beat down of a man, by some good ole boy cops, and he recieved death threats, they found him propped up next to his barn with 3 bullets in his head. he was a good man, killed by thugs with badges. It took a public outcry to get the ABI to investigate.

The next step is the formation of a citizens militia... we are fed up. It's been discussed here, where we have exemplary police... i can only imagine how your citizens feel... You guys are plastered all over youtube, going back years... No one is above the law, not even those charged to uphold it. I don't hate cops, i hate that i'm scared of them. I hate that i don't trust them... and i've never been arrested... i shouldn't feel this way, and i am not alone. You have a whole nation of outraged citizens, what does that tell you. The only way to gain our trust is to take responsibility and uphold your oath. Identify the corrupt among you, and hold them accountable. Protect and serve, not harass and intimidate.

I think we are all just a lil in shock at all the police corruption. I have always respected the job that police do, but you have to understand, we are terrified of you, because of those among you that abuse the power that we people entrusted to you. Cops seem to think they are entitled, when if fact they are privileged. It should be an honor to protect and serve. You hold a sacred trust, but you are losing that trust. once its gone... i'm not sure what will happen... Calling us all douchebags certainly isn't going to fix the problem. We didn't create that problem... I attended a meeting with over 6000 people who feel as i do. You wont know about it until its too late. i'm not threatening violence... not at all. but we the people hold the power, and when we as a nation decide to take it back... you wont be able to stop it, because as you said, "This is America." My forefathers did not shed blood so my civil liberties could be trampled on my ungrateful civil servants.

I don't think people should insult you without a reasonable explanation, and i can see how that would get under your skin. But don't forget who you are beholden to. You have sworn an oath, and we hold you to that. Set your anger aside for a moment and look around. There is a huge demographic that thinks your as bad as the criminals you arrest. Worse, even... because of the abuse of power we trusted you with. we didn't do that. Up until this point police had our trust and with it free reign. We're paying attention now. Citizens are recording and documenting. Without our trust, you're tyrants with badges. That is the public perception... We're holding rallies, conferences, and working with lawmakers to ensure our civil rights are not impugned. 20 years ago that concept would have seemed un american... and 20 years from now... if if it keeps going like it's going... i'm scared.

The police in the USA are being militarized everywhere. We are moving deeper and deeper into a police state. The sheep in this country have been brainwashed into thinking they need to be boot lickers and need to abide and do everything police say even if it means giving up their own freedoms, liberties, and rights. Its sad we have this political correctness nazi-ism in this country and people think they will be shunned if they do not listen to a cops every barking orders or if they refuse to work with the police they are bad people. The people do not realize that cops work for us, our tax dollars pay for them to work and protect the constitution and people. Yet the way it seems anymore we pay the cops to extort us for our income, to beat our asses, to ruin our lives, to hurt us financially, to mentally and verbally abuse you.

Cops are no longer respected by many people like they used to be in the early to mid 1900's. There are thousands upon thousands of regulations and laws and they say the common person probably commits several felonies day. Cops dont like being recorded but love to record you. They like to bully, hurt us, plant evidence, lie, and in the courts the word of the cops are going to be believed before your story is. That is why we record them. To preserve our freedom from protection against corruption.

Neither political party cares. They are complicit with the police in reckless lawlessness. Our nation is moving towards a socialist police state nazi like style of govt. Our govt kills people in other nations abroad with drones. Just wait till the cops start using these drones against us and bomb a house and kill 20 of the neighbors as collateral damage.

Cops are just helping destroy this once great nation. They raid peoples houses in the morning or dark and if you try to protect your property and are awaken by cops and have no idea whats going on because they do not announce police, you could be killed or have further legal problems when you try to protect yourself against a breakin with your own force. Cops are doing what they can to avoid legal warrants and reasonable cause, they just want to go around bashing doors down. These young men/women who think they are doing good are just looking for a pay check and are brainwashed servants of our corrupt government. The time is coming to take this country back and set the constitution back in place as law, instead of these cops and politicians *******izing the constitution and law of the land to make themselves, their lobbyists and corporations richer at the expense of the lives of innocent Americans. The war on drugs has failed and the war on terror is a hoax to control you, what you believe, and what you can own.

its already in motion. i attended a convention in new york early this year, and soldiers were waiting when we got there! At first we were freaked out, until they all stood up and saluted. Turns out they were air force, army, navy, marines, etc, and they were there to support the people they had signed up to protect. I cried, it was really moving. quite a few of them gave testimonial. It wasn't an anti-cop rally... just concerned citizens. There were actually police present, who are just s concerned as we are over escalating tensions. we have to remember that for every bad cop, there are at least 10 good ones. But until they stand up to be counted among us, they are part of the problem, not the solution. There has to be accountability, and for the most part, they are in complete denial. They defend and protect their brothers in arms, no matter what...

They treat us all like criminals. I got pulled over two-ish year, for a "broken tail light." (It was working fine when i got home, btw.) But the cop had his gun out when he got to my door! He berated me at the top of his lungs, because i didn't have my id on me. But i had gotten a speeding ticket like 2 months earlier, and he was able to find my valid Driver's license in the system. Has no one ever left their purse/wallet at home on accident when they make a store run? This cop treated me like a juvenile delinquent, i've been paying taxes for 20 years! I was trembling by the time i got home, after a 20 min tirade in the back of his cruiser. That's how they treat honest citizens. Now i have a panic attack every time a cop gets behind me. and that's nothing compared to the real corruption that's running rampant in our society. Its not just police, its judges, lawyers, elected officials... There's a system of secrecy in place that protects them, good or bad, and unless you get them on tape, they don't stand accountable. They are a brotherhood, and its not that i don't admire their loyalty, but i feel its misplaced. their oath is to the people, not to each other.

its disturbing to watch posted clips filmed by regular people. I saw a cop punch a pregnant woman in the face... and they said he followed proper procedure... wtf... Same with a mentally handicapped juvenile on a bus, it took 3 cops to pull this 90 lb boy off a bus, and they broke his arm in 3 places... also proper procedure... Its appalling and it goes on and on and on. If the good ones would just hold the bad ones accountable... But police officers that do are considered traitors, and their outcasts after that. The whole system needs an overhaul.

it makes me really sad that its come to this. I used to volunteer every year since i was 16 every year for the policeman's ball. I'd spend days on the phone getting donations. I was so proud of that. Now i cant look at a cop without getting a mini panic attack, even tho i've done nothing wrong. It's like they train them to be rude, and mean, and disrespectful. I have never been rude to a cop in my life. I always thought if you showed them respect they would show you respect. I'm not so sure anymore. I try not to lump them all in to that category. They risk their lives on a daily basis... But it certainly feels like a Police State to me... and i cant put that genie back in the bottle. All i can do is work to make sure there's a system in place when the shit hits the fan... Definitely feels like were headed that way... Which is sad. I don't hate cops, i do hate that i'm scared of them tho. Regular people shouldn't be scared of them.
