Let's get these guys off the street!
TAMPA (FOX 13) - Hillsborough County sheriff's deputies are on the lookout for two separate teams of shoplifters, caught on camera stealing hundreds of dollars in merchandise.
The first crime happened at the Sunglass Hut at Brandon Town Center. Deputies say three men walked into the store, and starting grabbing dozens of pairs of pricey shades, right in front of the lone store employee.
"He was just basically in shock by the utter brazenness of them. Here it is the middle of the day, and they just start ripping stuff off of the counters," HCSO spokeswoman Debbie Carter said Monday.
The trio took off with more than $4,500 worth of sunglasses.
Unfortunately, investigators say this bold-style of shoplifting is becoming a trend. Just last week, a pair of men were spotted on surveillance cameras stuffing a backpack with more than $450 in condoms from a West Hillsborough Avenue CVS.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is hiking marked and undercover patrols around malls during the holiday season.

Have no fear, these crimes will surely be downgraded from Grand Larcenies to some sort of Fraud cases so that hcso does not get hit with any Part 1 crimes on the books from them. If Fraud crimes were calculated across the nation, there is ops: little doubt what county agency would show the highest total... ops:

Re: Let's get these guys off the street!
When I first saw the title of this post I thought for sure it was from Sheriff Gee and Decobo, looking to remove & terminate more Line of Duty injured Deputies "off the street!"
I see however, that it's just more info on all these typical groups of thugs as they take daily advantage of Hillsborough county residents and businesses. We might have a shot at capturing more of them if there was sufficient staffing on the street and Deputies were allowed to drive a little quicker to saturate the area after all these felony crimes occur. Heck, the victims are extremely lucky just to get one Deputy on scene within (30) Minutes the way things are managed now. So in reality, just totally forget about the idea of ever having enough Deputies available or on scene in time to saturate the area for fleeing suspects.
Maybe one day in the future the ball & chains that presently bind us down and keep us from being able to properly respond in a reasonable amount of time, with the appropriate amount of resources, will once again be available to us. Until then, please don't blame and yell at the uniformed messengers too loudly. Many of us totally understand your frustration as victims, just please try and understand our frustration as misguided & mismanaged Deputies.
Please help us solve these mentioned problems when election time comes around again. Thank you ever so much...
