FWC Problems

Our mission statement was written approx 6 months after a major merger with state police agencies whose duties had little to do with "traditional" fwc duties. We are still evolving and it will take years for everything to fall into place. Needless to say, we are not "game wardens" and we are not "FMP". Our duties now include traffic enforcement, vehicle crash investigations, misdemeanor and felony investigations, admin code violations, etc.
Eventually all of the GFC and FMP people will retire or no longer be in charge. At that time, this agency will have to take a hard look at itself and make a decision about what duties it is responsible for.

Crash investigations....you wouldnt know how to investigate a crash if you wanted to.

I've probably worked far more vehicle crashes of every type than you have of any type vessel crash or poaching cases (You can't read the above posts where I stated I retired from a police department? What do you think one of the major duties of a patrol officer is?).
