    Re: Hiring process

First you get scheduled for an oral interview. Just before the interview there is a writing portion where you have to write a response to one question. Then the oral interview, consisting of 2 capts, 1 lt, 1 background investigator, and 1 civil service person. Interview is tough, but if you do well, you will make the eligibility list. If you place high enough on the eligibility list, and depending on the needs of the agency, they will call you in for CVSA. After CVSA, interview with Chief. If he likes you, then you get scheduled for psych, and lastly medical. Process varies in length depending on hiring needs.

Is this department actively hiring? I was wondering, How long is the average wait time after the oral interview is completed to get a response back?
