article is a serious conflict of interest. look how much the peterson family has given to Knight and other GOP candidates over the years. no wonder every article paints the SSO top brass as angels.

And exactly who is the local mod connected to? He is deleting links to newspaper articles, IA investigations, polygraph results and police reports. None of them are slander. Someone needs to give Mod 1 a direct link to what was deleted so he can put a stop to it.

I wondered the exact same thing.

"Yourobserver.com" is directly connected to the Sarasota GOP. All their articles about Knight are mysteriously glowing. For example, the spin that Nolan Peterson put on GK, along with Nolan Peterson's quoting Knight as saying that GK is a "cool customer." LOL Thanks for posting a more accurate article by Dale White from the H-T (it's the 2nd post in this thread).

Yourobserver.com is bought and paid for by the Sarasota GOP and certain people are on their rolls i.e. Nolan Peterson is on their payroll and Tom Knight is on the Sarasota GOP campaign contribution list. They are all drinking out of the same pot behind closed doors.

Please call and complain to MOD1...NOTHING HAS BEEN DELETED TO HIDE/COVER UP ANYTHING!!...This is just an example of how some individuals spin something in an attempt to create controversy. All links to newspaper articles, IA investigations, polygraph results and police reports are still posted. However, we will not allow individuals to spam this site by posting them over and over again.

Mod 577, a post was deleted that had links to newspaper articles, IA investigations, polygraph results and police reports. A link to it is saved. If the link is given to Mod 1, then he can pull it up to read it (even though it was deleted).

Mod 577, this is a big board, so maybe you're unaware of certain posts being deleted, even though they don't violate the TOS? It could be no fault of yours.

There is no attempt to create controversy by discussing deleted posts that don't violate the TOS. Slander should definitely be deleted. Most deputies agree with that. However, substantiated claims that are documented in newspaper articles, IA investigations, polygraph results and police reports are not slanderous (and are also public record). And sometimes they corroborate deputies claims about unfairness.

The original article in this thread is about employee retention. The links that were deleted deal with supervisory deputies who have been retained by Knight. The links show their police reports, IA investigations, polygraph results and newspaper articles. It was only posted one time in this thread -- and it was to make a point about certain supervisors who are being retained by Knight. If it has been posted elsewhere on the internet, then this deputy is unaware of it and has nothing to do with it. The internet is a big place.

These issues can't be discussed on internal departmental websites because the supervisors are in a position to punish us. As a classic example, just look at the hostile workplace that the Manatee Sheriff's Office is experiencing right now in today's newspaper.

Below is the post that was deleted. It has newspaper articles, IA investigations, polygraph results and police reports. If it is deleted, then at your request, Mod 1 will be contacted. If a direct link is given to Mod 1, then he can tell who deleted any post:

We have a few SSO employees who are extremely grateful to have been retained by Tom Knight. Some of these pillars of the community include Ron Locke, Kevin McElyea, John Walsh, JJ Jernigan, Steve Burns, Jim Lilly and other select personnel.

    To: Proud Deputy

I deleted your post because all of the articles that you mentioned has already been posted over and over again (and not deleted). MOD 1 has already been made aware and this had been discussed several weeks ago. Posting something over and over is spam. How many times do you want the same thing posted on several different topics? I gave a suggestion to utilize the search function on this site to help with your search.

    However...

People are *****ing about pisspoor management, like Knight being clueless about employee issues. This thread is a perfect example of that. After GK got suspended for his sexcapades with a convicted felon, Knight describes GK as "a cool customer." Tom, are you serious?

Someone else posted links to IA investigations and criminal histories of other supervisors, but the mod deleted access to those government documents.

Just because the guy personal life sucks doesn't make him A bad cop. It's called progressive discipline . On another note. I remember people beitching about monge, balkwill and now Knight. Some people will never be happy. They look more like cry babies than anything of merit.
