Your Sgt is one heck of a leader. The sgts behavior is indicative of a lack of backbone and courage.
What the hell is that supposed to mean? He is supposed to ignore the orders of the captain? It is ridiculous that you have a captain making calls about zone issues when there is a Sgt. 10-8.
Micromanagement at its finest....The new FHP....Gotta love it.
Oops, didn't communicate properly on my part. I apologive and please let me clarify. If the sergeant had a backbone and courage he would have given the order as his own! That is leadership and command presence. Too many at all levels the blame those above.

Based on all I have read about Ft Myers the Cpt probably has been given his direction and is doing what he is supposed to do.

    Go to work!
    Another Fool has spoken.

The problem with this Captain is: he is clueless with what is going on in the road, you can't lead a tribe if you haven't eaten Buffalo yourself. Ft Myer's is now composed of 5 different counties, he is not familiar with all of them nor he knows how the Sheriff's department operates. The sergeants are out there on a daily basis and know where the staffing is needed and which calls to prioritize. The Captain is failing to listen to his senior sergeants and it will backfire on him, all the decisions he has made so far are creating a hostile environment starting with the Trooper and are creating problems with response to calls. It's absurd to have a Trooper drive 2 counties away to respond to a disable vehicle when it can be handled by the locals, it's stupid to send a Trooper to a call that is twenty five miles away 12 minutes before the end of the shift. These are some of the decisions made by the new Captain and they are not working because he is not listening to the guys below. As long as he keeps following Baumann's leadership approach, he will be in failure mode, just ask the THI's in Troop-F.
Don't you mean you want it to go back to the way it was meaning the sergeants could just sit around barking orders and rarely working?

Culhane might have been an idiot for some things, his firing was his 208 crap, he didn't get fired sooner because at least he listened to the sergeants. He let the sergeants and lieutenants do their jobs and was not constantly micromanaging every move they made. Culhane began to fail after two years in, Cardwell is failing from week two.[/quote:xk7dlevm]

Culhane was nothing more than putting the old gang back together again. FHP should have backed Wells and ran off the clique.

Wow, stoop to name calling when we disagree. That disabled vehicle is OUR responsibility. Patrol and be visible going to and from it. Work the crash and claim the OT. Would you prefer your family wait until the oncomingbshiftncomes out. Bet not.

Do you are not on Facebook or other social media?

Not everyone is on that social media garbage, there are people that can still live without it. Social media is for people who wants the world to know them.
Indeed. My friends actually know who I am.
Facebook is for insecure weaklings who need validation from others. What fun is there in buying a new car if you can't post it on Facebook so people can tell you how great you are? Fake social life with your fake friendships.

Someone else who doesn't work in Ft Myers spoke. To answer your question, my family would have to wait a really long time, perhaps a few hours if they become disable in the south end of Troop F. The nearest Trooper would be coming from two counties away while 3 or 4 locals just drive by not knowing. The new district policy is "we don't ask the locals for help, we respond to every call as long as we are x8". Yes we will be very visible from now on, in a dead end road working a mailbox crash while the Interstate goes without Troopers.

I really do not care if I have to drive 3 counties away to work a minor crash, I'm on the clock and won't have to write tickets nor due SEUs. I take my time driving there, claim the OT and 5 hrs crash report writing. BINGOOOOOOOOOO

Funny how Petracca's name is not mentioned, she is the only supervisor who has had problems with all the names mentioned, she is also the cancer who constantly gripes about work. Anybody wants to jump in a tub? Sherry you are also invited

No, that was posted by retired hooker hunter William Johnson. He has nothing else to do than sneak around the Web for victims.
