Deal with both sides of the sex scandal

Most will agree, the men have it coming and are paying a price for their involvement in this scandal. Now with that said, address the victim, female side of this situation. Any allegations should be reported promptly. This will neutralize any consentual relationships being used as a insurance policy. Dating in the workplace is a natural occurrence, it happens. Develop policies that require both parties to declare their relationship, or prohibit it entirely. Of course infidelity would not be a acceptable relationship, nor should any supervisor be allowed to date a subordinant they supervise. The PD, in this case, never officially received notice of this issue until the victim got fired after like seven years and 20 guys. Hard to officially deal with a problem, when it wasn't officially complained about

Are you SERIOUS? "Hard to officially deal with a problem when it wasn't officially complained about"??????????? EVERY cop in that building KNEW what was going on, KNEW it was wrong and many of them instead chose to take part! The leadership in that department allowed a working environment that permitted the abuse of that woman in open sight of everyone for years. The fact that it was permitted to go on so long by management is WHY there were 20 cops sexually harassing that woman. They victimized her like a pack of wolves. The only people that can't see that are blinded by the glare of their badges.

Cops are trained to seek out and investigate crimes..... unless they are committing them.

I cannot wrap my head around the idea that people feel as though she was some kind of victim! Seriously!!! How did they get her phone #, how did they get her hotel information in Orlando, who forced her to open the door for them at the hotel, who FORCED her to send nasty pictures, who FORCED her to text back, how is it that she ended up at the same hotel in Lakeland with one of these men, how did she end up at the Fire Dept banging some dude after/during the fireworks? Was she forced into these situations ummm I think the hell not!!! Not to mention...how many times did she play the go-between person for other married women and some of these officers? Who the heck does that??? A sick messed up individual! Unless...oh thats right....she was probably a victim there too.
She made her bed and she should lay in it. There are many other FEMALE employees who kept their legs and lips closed and they dont seem to have this issue. I've NEVERRRRR felt like I had to do ANYTHING that made me feel uncomfortable for anyone above me in rank. #1 I was raised better than that. #2 I work for my success, I'll earn the respect of others by working hard, being honest, having brains and respecting other people's jobs and families. She used that thing between her legs and ears to advance and she got just what she was asking for. It's disgusting.

She wasn't the only one at LPD that used her assets to try to get ahead of others. Did we forget about the lieutenant that was demoted two positions because he was on the hiring board and the trainee officer Crystal Resmondo was having an affair with him, Not to mention others and her pornographic videos online? He still kept his job funny how the chief didn't handle that situation properly. Adultery, untruthfulness, immoral and unethical treatment I would say, At the very least. That was on both their parts. Way to go chief it just shows a pattern of behavior on your part that you are not fit to lead that organization.

Yes. Resmondo is trashy too. Could not get a job on her own had to be predatory also. She was screwing around with several people from what I heard. Had to show her cleavage and flirt with everyone. God forbid we try to get a job on our merits. Luckily the chief saw through her as many of the straight laced hardworking female leos did. The hard working female leos get in by hard work and earning their way in. Not seeking out and spreading their legs to any horny male who looks their way.

Wow, even the female LEO's at Lakeland seem to justify or at least refuse to acknowledge that if those scumbag officers didn't unzip their pants nothing would have happened. I turn down sex all of the time. Maybe you Lakeland LEO's should try saying no sometime. :cop:

Hey WTF, I'm having a hard time seeing how she is a victim of abuse. She seemed to be a most willing partner. Don't care that everybody knew of her reputation, I got a huge problem with her not promptly reporting these unwanted sexual advances when they occurred. Exploiting a law that was intended to protect women in the workplace is wrong. The men are paying a price for this, and so should she.

Well for one, she didn't give an oath to protect and serve. She needed protection from those in power that chose to abuse their authority. Instead they served themselves and only protected each other.
