The country needed to see this

This trial is not over yet, but it has already exposed why prosecutors should never be pressured or influenced to appease when filing charges. Now it is clear why the special prosecutor didn't bring this case to a Grand Jury, she couldn't risk them not recommending charges. Non arrested Grand Jury presentments usually result when the Sao itself see flaws in a case and don't want to make the decision themselves. It appears that this prosecutors mission was to charge and have a jury dismiss the charges thus allowing the country to see facts and realize that the burden of beyond any reasonable doubt just wasn't present in this case. Now that the facts are coming out, another flaw in this case is the absolute agenda driven media coverage of this case. When you have to edit and omit facts to fit a narrative, you have confused especially the less educated and less engaged amoung us. If Zimmerman is aquitted, and violence in the street occurs, more than anybody else, the media will be responsible.

In Florida, State Attorneys run for office by district. The key word is “run” as they are by every definition of the word POLITICIANS and thus subjected to every lapse of honesty associated with any other politician.
State Attorneys are like baseball players in as much as t heir batting average is everything. State Attorney’s run on law and order platforms and use their cases filed vs. cases won ratios, just like a baseball player brags about his hits at bat.
Their main tool to secure this statistical advantage is the little known legal term “Prosecutorial Discretion”, basically what this means is that they don’t have to file any charge they don’t feel they want. Using “Prosecutorial Discretion” in this case and based on the facts, they were not going to file charges because of the extremely poor chance of obtaining a conviction on a politically charged case. We fix that by assigning a “Special Prosecutor” who does not have to run for re-election and whose political career will not be destroyed by this, but perhaps even enhanced by the notoriety.
    Don’t you just love politics?

Correct- I blame our Governor. What a miscarriage of justice. They should be ashamed.
