Here we go again in racist South St Pete

Watched the 6:00 PM news on channel 13 and listened in complete dismay as the NAACP and other black activist groups who make South St Pete the "ground zero" of racial problems, whined & complained about what they say is non-stop harassment by the St Pete Police Department! They went on to demand that SPPD change it's supposedly lenient pursuit and use of force policies, among other things. Apparently, according to them, SPPD is pursuing to many vehicles through the family oriented & peaceful South St Pete neighborhoods... They claim they are just trying to avoid another race riot in the area, brought on by proactive police policies. Basically, they don't want SPPD to stop any black citizens in the area or enforce state & local laws because supposed racial tensions are at a high rate AGAIN! Then of course, they went on to complain that St Pete officers are once again PLACING THEMSELVES in the way of danger, by stepping in front of stolen vehicles for example and that if a white officer shoots a black resident in the area right now, it will most likely lead to the normal level headed response in this area, which is to riot and burn things down. All I have to say to these racist idiots is.....Here's a match!!

The George Zimmerman trial is scheduled to start on June 10th. It is almost a foregone conclusion that he will be found not guilty of the politically motivated charges levied against him.
It is also a foregone conclusion that certain segments of society will use this event as an excuse to riot, burn and loot.
If anything, the police presence in this neighborhood should be substantially increased to let the residents know that unruly behavior will not be tolerated and that criminal activities will have consequences.
Now all we have to do is find someone with the testicular empowerment to get it done.

If they want to burn their neighborhood down then have at it. The fact is rioting and looting has nothing to do with the cause. Its an excuse to steal anything they can then destroy the only businesses that are willing to build there in the first place. Sending police in to guard the neighborhood is not needed. Having extra police protecting the businesses elsewhere that pay taxes is where the resources should go.

I agree with you whole heartedly; however, we have a set of laws, rules and ethics that guide us in the discharge of our duties.
When the burning starts and it will, the fire department will respond and they will be fired at, their safety is on our shoulders as well as the safety of those who are not in the criminal element but live there.

What is coming our way will make the 1980 Miami riots look like Childs play.
When several major cities in this state are burning simultaneously, where is the Governor going to send the National Guard? How many FHP and FWC Officers do you think they can send to augment local PDs state-wide?
It’s going to get very interesting.
