You Reserves who keep assigning blame for the dismantling of your program on the DC, Chief need to look amongst yourselves. This is a classic case of the tail trying to wag the dog. Reserves are employed to supplement the department. Not suck up all the details from the full time officers and then not meeting the minimum mandatory number of hours to stay in the program. Shooting off you mouth will not correct the fact that you shot yourselves in the foot.....You got what you deserved.

If you really think reserve officers are behind the movement, quietly gaining momentum by the way, to remove the chief for his failure to run this department, you know very little about what's happening in this agency.

Stop trying to create drama weasel. The only momentum gaining is that the reserve program that did exist here at one time has finally come to an end.

Reflecting back on the department as the year comes to an end, I want to say this place continues to reach new lows. Zero leadership at the top. Zip...nada...none!

I can't believe we spend so much time closing roadways to prevent families from reaching and enjoying Christmas light displays. As cops, this is what we've been reduced to? The administration doesn't care about the police department, and now officers are being used to annoy and inconvenience citizens whose support we need, especially in times like this.

Proud moment in the history of the city. We prevented any number of families and children from seeing a Christmas display. I'm sure the city is a better/safer place.

Why doesnt she get her precious fire dept to block off the roadway to the Xmas light show?. It would be a better fit.

Some agencies handle Sturgis, the Daytona Beach Bike Week, and Panama City Spring Break. We suffer a crisis over a single Christmas Display. Embarrassing.

Time to bring in a chief who actually stands for something instead of desperately hanging on to line his own pockets. He's not interested in running the department, only padding his drop account. He's a puppet with strings extending to all the way to the mayor, MM and GS. What the hell has he accomplished other than running the department into the ground? The agency has no direction and the chief has no idea where to lead it. He should do us all a favor and leave!!!! Only them will morale have any chance of improving.

    Re: Vote of No Confidence

Check out the Lakeland, FL thread. Their chief was put on admin leave after there was a "no confidence" vote by the rank & file because the chief had questionable / favorable hiring practices. Wow, does that sound familiar!! Everyone hired and promoted around here is entrenched in the good ole boy network. It's the only requirement needed.

Clearly, the PPD has many issues; The chief, and a few other administrators, need to be terminated.
