When u make the rank of chief or a leadership position of any business you should conduct yourself in a professional manner. Your actions decisions movements and yes even attire are continuously scrutinized by your subordinates. You should strive to set a professional example for others to follow. Dipino has no idea how to do that and in fact does just the opposite. She is non existent in most of the agencies eyes. She is some who from a distant position hands down rules and decisions based on some kind of bent logic that do nothing but effect everyone in a negative way. The term detached applies to the whole command staff but especially her.

She doesn't care to help doesn't care to fix things doesn't care to try to make our lives easier. None of the command staff do. The new world reporting system SUCKS!!! It takes officers 3x longer to write a report it constantly crashes constantly loses reports so officers have to start over. All this with a staff reduction coming. Supervisors are beyond frustrated.

Command staff please help. Get your head in the game and get rid it of new world. It is making officers life on patrol miserable. So if blue team. Wha took 10 mins before for a use of force now takes 30. It's insane. Listen to the supervisors and help fix patrol.

Lesson one in how to fool a city:

1(a) take a unit like SCU that used to staffed with hard hitting cops (8-10 of them that had the task of getting drugs and guns) and turn it into a 3 person unit that rehabilitates hookers

1(b) anyone on patrol that's still motivated to arrest people, chase cars, chase bad guys etc, find a way to demotivate them

1(c) of course you should cut staffing so low that even after all the demotivating you do still doesn't stop the few who go arrest people and now they don't have time in between calls to go arrest people.

Of course crime has dropped in the city you dumb dumbs but that's a fraud. Crime is as bad as it was before she got her we just don't arrest people anymore

Exactly right. Anyone who thinks crime is down is a fool. We have nearly 30 less officers on the street. Probably closer to 40. Thats why arrests are down, thats why case numbers are down. Stupid dipino thinks she can sell that as her great leadership. Yeah sure. You rock Bernie. Hire less cops, discourage the ones we have from making arrests by bogging them down with fruitless complaints, over rule investigations by your lieutenants in order to discipline, create a non arrest culture, and then take credit for lowering crime. I think this is finally the event that the media needs to launch an investigation into what this COP has done and is doing to this department. Tom Lyons.....where are you? Look into this violation of city rules.....she needs to answer for this even though the city manager turns his back.....in addition.........make a public records request of her office entry pass.......see how much time she really spends "on the job at the PD".......also, unapproved use and over draft of her department credit card, and using other cards from other personnel...........personal time, vacation time, unauthorized use of department vehicle, etc, etc....it goes on and on.........she needs to be fired.

She sure did. For no legitimate reason whatsoever. Yes sir, she really cares about the officers doesn't she. I have never seen a more unfit person obtain the rank of chief. Nice interview chief, time and time again you prove you have no clue. I wonder if you actually were a police officer in your career.

No one that has been a cop for as long as you claim, who's family is all in law enforcement as you claim could really make the decisions you have made.

If you stay as the chief any longer you will for sure bury an officer under your command. But you'll probably love the media attention so you shouldn't mind.
