    Significant changes?

With the first significant change at the leadership level in over 16 years, have you noticed any changes good or bad?

    Re: Significant changes?

It is to early to see any changes, other than rank among the members. But, most of the members are excited about "change". We can only hope that when the "Interim Chief" becomes the "Chief", we will see more from him. He is a good leader and we are looking forward to the new Chief setting his standards and making the department a much more better place. For the most part we seem to have newly promoted supervisors that may do the department justice in the years to come. I just hope that the "Chief" will be left alone to be the Chief, and the position not be to political.

Don't get your little hearts set on who the new chief will be for the long run. When he arrives, all will know that there's a new SHERIFF in town because life as you know it will change. Some will like it, and some will fear it. The lazy will no longer be allowed to steal the oxygen and money from the city. The hotshots who like to run around with their chests puffed out like roosters will be taught the harsh reality of being humble. The cowards will grow a spine or they will find themselves looking for another job. Want to talk being the administration's back? You'll find your self wrapped up in an internal investigation for something that will get your certification ripped into shreds. The bottom line? Keep your nose in your own business and know your place.

Well you make some good points, but its unclear why you seem to be so angry. But you are right there will be a new "Officer" in town! The bottom line is that its everyone's responsibility to make sure the department is on point. And yes, the members must be accountable for their actions. But most of all maybe supervisors that see the things that you reference will stand up and address those issues. So you see sir/ma'am, get out of that one lane you talk about and make a difference, that is if your even in the agency. You have a voice use it. Most of all let your actions speak for you too!! Good luck to you. The department will move forward we just hope this Chief will help the people become better at what they are sworn to do....
