    Re: Ask the PBA

I have a feeling that conducting an IA without interviewing the subject of the IA is legit, It shouldn't be, but it is. PBA needs to change this and make it part of the officers bill of rights which not only lays down the guidelines for interviews, it also makes it a law that there is an interview.

No. It is legal. Have you been noticed of a violation of department policy?

Okay. We were going to stream live from the FHP Chapter Board meeting, but our sound quality was not up to the task so we punted.

Here's a recap discussion from today. We discuss off-duty, special comp, and next year's budget.

The bargaining team will be sitting down to discuss next year's contract proposal. We are also meeting with Legislators to discuss another round of pay raises.

    What's new in NE FL?

    Matt,

I'm not that knowledgeable about FHP Union dealings so I hope everyone will grant me some courtesy on this topic.

My question is this: Is there anyway to get FHP Civilians some representation? I see that PBCSO Civilians are represented and it is desperately needed in this agency. No disrespect to the Sworn members, but we should have received that 5% raise as well.

What would it take to get something going and what, if anything, is possible for FHP Civilians.

    Thank you for your time.
