Matt, first of all, the Troops in the field are very appreciative of the help you guys have provided. Do you know what is the governors position in all of this? Does he support the LEO pay raise proposal?

Not Matt but I doubt the PBA has an open line to the Governor after trying to stop him (rightfully so) in his election but baldy would take a huge political hit if he tried to line item veto the raises so I put the chance of him doing that at virtually zero.

Is this thing gonna get signed or what? This is starting to feel shady.

Hey Matt, thanks for starting this thread. Our Chief of Staff has a long and very questionable record regarding her personal integrity and lack of truthfulness. There is much discussion among us particularly at GHQ about the decision to hire someone like her. After speaking to current and former commanders at OALE, our concerns here are legitimate. We have also gotten information from former employees of her in the capitol and the senate that were disturbing to say the least. There has been a long running thread on this forum that bring up shocking statements and allegations about her and her boyfriend Nelson Mongove. Did you or other leaders at PBA ever deal with her? Also, is it legal or ever been debated as to requirements for senior management who do not have background investigations, polygraphs or psychological screening to be allowed access to sensitive law enforcement material. We know this was a political hire, but should there not be some due diligence, especially given her questionable past?

    Thanks Matt

I doubt Matt will answer that question, that is not a PBA issue. Right now we are more concern with this payraise if in fact it goes thru, than politics in the big white GHQ building. Sorry for the straight answer.

Thanks for your response but is just not politics at GHQ genius it affects the entire patrol. She in fact helped hold the line against pay raises for JD Alexander and others. You may want to brush up on the legislature pal.

Nothing has changed on the pay raise. Just waiting on governor to approve.
