    Time To Clean House

Two retired and one former City of Miami Cops try to take over a small city a few miles from the City Of Miami. They get boxed in by amateur politicians to the point one gets fired, one is going to get fired and one is left out in the cold. Wild charges fly back and forth and no one is sure who is right or wrong. Media coverage indicates we are a bunch of fools who voted for these imbeciles.

The city of Miami must be laughting at us big time.

The city of South Miami is a cesspool of incompetent politician and ethically challenged City officials. The voters need to come together and demand all new politicians, a professional City Manager and new Police Chief from outside our area

    Re: Time To Clean House

Do you know that there are former City of Miami Police Staff & Officers in almost every Municipality in Miami-Dade County? Chief of Miami Beach and West Miami are. The first group of Officers in Pinecrest were retired Miami guys. Miami Gardens has, and OpaLocka had a Police Chief from Miami. Look around. Virginia Gardens, Doral, Florida City. You never hear a problem from these other Cities talking about the Police trying to "Take Over"!
If the Voters wanted a Strong Mayor, let them vote for one. The system now is for the City Manager to be the one running the City as a Business. But we've had 16 in the last 18 years...All Fired or pushed out!! And you are blaming who, really?
The voters have spoken. They want a group of alleged pot smoking elitist liberals to make the Major Decisions with your Tax Money and you want to blame the Police?

Mostly true. Though Pinecrest's 1st Chief wasn't from MPD, but his hiring guy was.
He and most of the others mentioned from MPD are fine professionals.
Unfortunately, the current SMPD crew are either corrupt or they got in to bed with the devil.
Absent one of the new regime, the rest certainly were not the best qualified for the jobs.
All the stress and trouble could have been avoided if there wasn't corruption and a conspiracy going on for years.
There were plenty of others from MPD and other agencies that would have been perfect. But it was rigged from the start.

One of the top three that were in the running for the job was an MPD who would have been great. But as the poster said it was rigged from the start. The CM actually wouldnt have gotten the job if he hadnt agreed to hire OM as chief.

The present MPD guys, OM and RL, cant be trusted. RL tried to stab KBPD chief in the back and was fired. They had been friends for 20 years. Now he is trying to distance hmself from OM. If OM survives RL is history.
