If you are "In the know", then you should know. If you are "Not in the know", then it is none of your business.

The DEP and AG Forest Cops are doing fine. FWC is now stronger than ever with lots of new Cops , equiptment and responsibilities. If you study business than you know the rule ' grow or die' . FWC just grew a lot and is the better for it.
Sorry if you were looking for *****es and complaints.

The one on my squad is great and has alot of experience since he was a deputy sheriff before he was a DEP officer. I learn something new everytime I ride with this officer. I know now why DEP officer's had cages in their vehicle, they put people in jail. Funny, I never heard about this before the merger. I didn't think they did much.

    Re: DEP OFFICEERS

FWC has inherited a hundred plus DEP Cops that can work vehicle accidents and crimes against persons and property and a dozen Ag Forest Cops that are Federally trained Wildfire Arson Investigators and have numerous disaster deployments under their belts.
Cooper can kiss my butt. This kind of training and experience is golden. FWC is now bigger and better than it ever was. Now just give us the across the board 6% pay raise that we deserve and all will be well.

    Re: DEP OFFICEERS

I think the pay should stay the same for officers and the money spent for giving everyone a pay raise should be directed to supervisors. Supervisors should get a pay raise because of their training and experience. We don't want to lose valuable supervisors when we can always find new officers.

Anyway, officers can work off duty if they don't think they are earning enough. Personally I feel supervisors are underpaid and officers are paid about what they are worth right now.
