    What kind of selections? Prior law enforcement hire's? No prior hires? Promotions?

    I hope i'm not too late. I am going through the FDLE equivalency process right now. I spoke to the recruiter a few days ago and was told that TPD is beefing up its numbers for RNC and most likely won't be hiring in 2013. Anyone else heard this?

    The department was in a hiring mode in 2011 through mid 2012 to be fully staffed for the R.N.C. which is a month and half away. Even if you were selected you would still have a hold over and then the FTEP before you would be considered ready for patrol. Tampa is a very good agency to work for if you like to work, good luck.

    Thanks, i'm coming from Memphis not sure where i'm gonna land. I'm used to working just ready for a climate change
