So, I asked her yesterday: She left to go back into private practice for a national firm. There is no buyout and there is no disclaimer or confidential agreement. Those of you who really know her know that she is an excellent attorney who cared about the people here. She took a lot of crap at the hands of our "Interim Sheriff". I think she showed a lot of class when she was ridiculously passed over for promotion. (No dig on our current GC, who is very nice.) But seriously, after all that crap, would you want to stay to work for the "Interim Sheriff" if you could go back to being a big time lawyer? Also, I heard she was the only attorney who DID NOT contribute to the "Interim Sheriff's" campaign. It doesn't take a genius to figure this one out.

Why don't you douche bags stop putting her business out here and leave her out of your political games. She doesn't deserve to be brought into this and it's a lame attempt to use her just to try to help your lame attempts at making the sheriff look bad.

Why dont she stop talking about it then. Just ride off into the sunset.
