I dont think "experimental" use years ago would keep you out, unless it was something like LSD PCP or herion. Dont worry about that from what I hear. Recent use is out of the question, and weed better have been explainable as experimental and many years ago. Dont forget this is a drug saturated environment like all campuses.

Hang em', Gas em', or Shoot em'...that's what you tell them in your interview when they ask you what you think of the Death Penalty. If you ever tried to get high and feel good of of any kind of chemical or smoked one of those marijuana sticks, you better not apply for this job. We are only looking for the good people that never did any of that kind of stuff. That includes you little arseholes that drank more alcohol when you were under the legal age then you do know, or even if you tried to look cool and got a cup of beer in that Solo cup and tried to look cool at a party or gathering. You committed a crime of underage drinking or possessioin of alcohol underage. Give up any hope of ever becoming a cop.

Once you get hired, If you ever want to get promoted here, one of the must is- you have to put out a lot of emails. Emails *****ing about something you found wrong from people doing things or Department equipment usage or emails about crimes and stuff going on in the area of Hillsborough County, which most come from the detective division...it is a must that you put out of department wide emails....

This person does not work here, or does not know what he is talking about. The previous poster on what will keep you from getting hired has it about right.

Oh you have hit the nail on the head! With the possible future retirements of Lt's being chatted up, the Queen of informative E-mails has begun spewing her Attention grabbing "must reads" and new policies that she and her mentor dream up.

Oh, this is just a taste of what is to come. Once she is officailly a Lt., the emails will be worse and more consistant. You will get beaten over the head with the emails, and you will start wondering who is worse about telling you stuff...her or your wife...
