Yes, understandable, but would you lie and implicate someone for a sweet deal? That is the downside of the justice system but luckily that's why we get a jury to decide.

What jury? This is not criminal court . We are talking about Federal court get your fact right. And as far as lieing and implicating the Sgt, think about it, they are the only ones that know the truth and if it was you in this situation you would do the same.
