Gossippy Kendall *****es. "Yo bro is so-and-so qru".

Listen boys and girls, here is the short answer to that question for ever so you never have to ask that stoopid shit ever again.
Most people, like over 90% are pretty qru if YOU DO YOUR JOB. What does that mean?
Everyone pretty much understands what the job of police officer is. Sometimes it's not pretty, and if you work and really get after it, stuff happens.
Just about every supervisor I know understands this. And even if they are "pro-39" or whatever, they have to be really careful about not backing up officers who are doing their jobs.
That means if you bring in 39s, movers, FIs, clear cases, and clear for calls, then you will make SGT and LT look good. If you show up to work on a daily basis without drama, ready to work, with a positive attitude, they will have no problem with you.
On the other hand, if you are a drama queen who calls in sick and never can finish a damn week of work, bring in zero stats, milk calls for all they are worth, and whine and gripe about blah blah the job and bullshit, then no supervisor (and few officers) will have "your back."
There are a lot of scammers out there trying to hustle all the time. If they don't like a detail, they argue, *****, cry, whatever. They don't contribute anything to their squad or their district, they bring in ****, and then they hate when so-and-so gets on NRU or RID, but they are lazy and useless.
So, the same LT who ain't QRU with you might be totally cool with me, because I work my butt off and make them and myself look good. I don't need anyone's QRUness, because I stand on my own merits.
I don't depend on someone's kindness to get by.
But if everyone worked really hard, then it would be harder for me to look so good doing what I do, which is just my plain old job. So keep on being lazy *****es.

I don't know Meyer, but if he worked at Northside then he probably is QRU.

Hes as QRU as Lt's can be in the hostile work enviroment called MDPD, but really short. Not midget short, but like "Oh WOW!, look at that tiny cop" short...... If the County has to special order his uniforms its awaste of taxpayer dollars..

Lets put aside all the B.S. and work together on this. It effects us all.

There are major efforts in the Florida Legislature to scuttle benefits in the Florida Retirement System and the Municipal Police Retirement Systems. The Florida PBA has spent the majority of the time in Tallahassee lobbying against these measures, but a number of studies, bills, and reports have been authorized that require us to take a more aggressive approach.

    Among the proposals being discussed:

    State Retirement At Risk

-Reducing the Special Risk Class in FRS back to the original membership of Law Enforcement Officers, Correctional Officers, and Firefighters. Removing Correctional Probation Officers.
-Reducing the 3% Accrual Rates for Special Risk.
-Increasing the high 5 years to the highest 8 years.
-Capping your retirement payment at 70% not the current 100%.
-Increasing Special Risk normal retirement age to age 60 or 30 years of service.
-Implementing an employee contribution for retirement of 1% of salary.
    Municipal Retirement At Risk

-Capping your retirement payment at 70% not the current 100%.
-Changes the 185 premium tax law so extra money does not have to be spent on extra benefits.
-Increasing normal retirement age to age 60 or 30 years of service.
-Majority of members on the Board of Trustees could not be active or retired pension plan members.
There are a number of bills that enact some of these proposals, but the worst one of all is HB 1543 by Representative Juan Zapata. His bill purges Correctional Probation Officers from the Special Risk Class, reduces the 3% accrual rate, raises the age limit to 60 and years of 30 years of service for both local and state officers, removes 185 extra benefits requirement from law, and caps the percentage of retirement at 70% for everyone.

You can do something about it.

Please call and email ALL of the following Legislators to express your concerns:

Dial the PBA's toll-free number 1-800-733-3722. When you get the PBA greeting, dial the extension listed below to connect to the respective legislators. You will have to call back to the PBA for each legislator.
