As far as I know the only official police investigation was done by SCSO. If FDLE and The FBI refuse to do an investigation is it considered a cover up? Unless its a racial or other hot-button issue then other state or federal agencies usually do not step on the toes of the original investigating agency. The only one I see covering up the crime is SCSO.

Maybe if Murray was an Arab with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and Ammurro was a white American then FDLE and The FBI would have stepped in and arrested her already.

Answer as follows:

CH responded to home and began investigation. He initially did not make corazol connection. After discovering his mistake, JB tells him to ignore. CH is unaware that JB had been romantically involved with wife of Murray. CH, thinking he made mistake, follows JB orders and pushes case through as simple heart attack, no suspicious death. Steve realizes corazol connection and complains, loudly and publicly. JB plays this off as mentally ill son angry about fathers death. JB does not want anyone to know of his affair with Maria. JB gets KH to destroy original, digital 911 call to lesson SSO liability. Don't forget bad press of local dentist hired hit man to kill wife, SSO detectives think she slipped in shower case (Clive Mohammed). KH doesn't want another bungled murder case in the press. Case gets closed. CH realizes he covered up for JB and Maria. His career spins out of control and he is fired. JB also goes through crisis and ends his career with mental health issues and disgrace of being sent to work in jail.

CELL PHONE, HOME, AND WORK PHONE RECORDS WILL SHOW PHONE CALLS BETWEEN JB AND MARIA BEFORE DEATH, DAY OF DEATH, AND AFTER DEATH. THIS WILL CONNECT JB TO MARIA AND COVERUP WILL BE OVER.
