Kurt Hoffman and the SCSO keep saying the judge ruled against Steve Esdell and FDLE wont take the case and that is what they are hanging their hat on. Why doesn't Hoffman and the SCSO answer as to why the 911 tape was destroyed and why there was no autopsy. If there is even a whiff or a hint of wrongdoing then shouldn't all the evidence be preserved? Isnt an autopsy mandatory? Dont they keep and use the original 911 tape in domestic battery arrest matters? But not in deaths where someone is claiming their wealthy dad was murdered by his younger wife and they only had been married for a few weeks. Thats classic motive right there, its not kosher and looks like a cover-up. Steve Esdell has a right to be pissed.

Ill tell you what, don't ever get murdered in Sarasota County, your family will never get justice. .

Bonus information: Murray Cohen died on January 13, 2003, the marriage license between Murray Cohen and Maria Amurrio is dated and certified on February 7, 2003. This fraudulent marriage license allowed Amurrio to be considered the next legal next of kin, and gave her the right to block exhumation of her victim's body. These documents were presented in the probate court to her hand picked Judge, Thomas Gallen to prove Amurrio was a fraud. Gallen dismissed the motion to annul the marriage with prejudice and then ordered the clerk to remove them from the file. This is why Murray Cohen's entire probate record was SEALED.

I know that you will find my attorney's letter to Governor Crist very compelling. It spells out the Hoffman cover-up. Too bad Crist didn't have the spine to do the right thing.

This makes no sense. It’s understandable why someone would store duplicates or evidence/information that has not been revealed yet, outside the state of Florida, but why would any legitimate individual supposedly store information that has already been revealed outside the state?

Why don’t you have copies of everything? This sounds awful suspicious and bogus.

Stephanie, you will find that talking to Steve Esdale and his editor is like talking to a broken record. If you disagree with him too much, then he will begin attacking your character too -- and you will be lumped in with all the people who disagree with him e.g. federal judges, state judges, the Florida governor, and multiple investigators at the federal, state and county levels, et al. Murry Cohen cut Steve Esdale out of his will for very specific familial reasons. The saga has been ongoing with Esdale since the year 2003 -- and since 2011 in his Esdale's thread right here. It will continue until he strokes out or dies -- whichever comes first.

Sarasota State Attorney Ed Brodsky is also involved in the denial of justice for Murray Cohen. He ignored evidence of murder.

Meet the employees at SSO who were involved in the Murray Cohen cover up.

Former Sheriff William Balkwill- Directly involved in altering evidence and interfering in the probate. Eventually he was found guilty of destroying evidence against a court order.

Former Sheriff's Counselor, Gabrielle Taylor- Probably the only one who didn't want to be dragged into the cover up.
When Esdale got her against the ropes as pro se, and filed a motion to hold her in contempt of court, she got drunk at a local bar, and a squad car was sent to take her home because she became disorderly. The Herald Tribune published a story about this drunken event. The next day, she resigned her $80,000 a year job which she told the Herald Tribune she had personal issues and wanted to try something new.

Detective at the time in 2003, David Scott. Scott was directly involved along with Sargent Paul Richards in the first alteration and tampering of the 911 recording. David Scott also falsified his investigative report. Both currently work at SSO and moved up in the ranks. On May 15, 2019, Paul Richards was suspended without pay for two days because of drunken misbehavior at a baseball game. There are news reports about this.

The master mind who used his duel skills to make sure justice would never be served, Captain Kurt Hoffman. He is responsible for destroying the ultimate evidence, the crystal clear pristine digital archived DVD of the 911 recording and the hard drive. Hoffman did nothing when he was shown the evidence that the hard drive containing the 911 recording was deliberately deleted. Hoffman repeatedly injected himself into Murray Cohen's probate case by lying and deceiving the judges.

Former SSO Major Kevin Gooding was also involved in the alteration of the 911 recording and had a role in the false FBI audio report. He retired.

Former Detective Chris Halisey- Involved in obtaining the false FBI report, falsifying his investigative reports and altering witness statements. Fox 13 of Tampa had a witness on the news broadcast who stated, "Hallisey told her to change her time line". Eventually he was arrested for felony doctor shopping and resigned from SSO.

Former Detective Jeffrey Bell- Allegedly had an affair with Murray Cohen's killer after he was assigned to investigate her for killing him. He was in charge of the 911 call center at the time of Murray Cohen's death and falsified his investigative reports.

Former Major Chuck Forbis- Deeply involved in the cover up, retired from SSO and moved to Tennessee.
