10% of disgruntled employees posting 90% hate
Okay Um Dumb, thanks for making my point, NOW try to keep up Tard. YOU are the 10% of the agency hereafter referred to as the disgruntled slugs every department, company or institution has to deal with that are always negative no matter what. You don't like Blizzard because you don't like being held accountable and doing your damn job. The rest of us as well as the majority of the department know who you are and why your so ate up jealous and disgruntled.

Blizzard isn’t he the one that was gonna run for Sheriff, but backed off when it came out he got his wife fired to not hurt his career after she was caught f¥€king a subordinate. Then he got his sl¥tty female babysitter and ex-detective pregnant and forced her to quit. Is that the same Blizzard your talking about?

Not sure what this person is talking about....but looks like we dodged a bullet. This person has no experience and is referring to a educational benefit the department offers for a few class at the academy or college credits, clearly spelled out in a department policy. APD has been very successful the last three years in paying for experience, you are welcome to call or stop by and speak with a newer experienced officer, they would be happy to share information on their pay and PTO banks. Experience pay is around $57,000 for a well experienced officer and if LCSO time, the vacation time is increased. (BOCC benefit)
Also a few years ago no qualified applicants applied to be a supervisor and a former lieutenant from another agency applied and was selected....he is well respected. Additionally, an APD officer with 10 or more years makes as much of a supervisor and it is difficult to get a human being to want more stress and responsibility for same pay. This pay disparity is being addressed and the supervisors pay has increased substantially the last couple years. As for “why are you always hiring”; in the last several years the department has weeded out a few malcontents and had a few retirements, in addition to adding several part time officers, and being authorized to increase staff above previous amounts. So it really is that simple, growing every year, even though the airport has seen record drops in passenger numbers, the economy will bounce back and APD will be ready.
All of the information mentioned can be obtained through a telephone call or public records request, but I am sure someone will claim otherwise.
