Cyber Crime Unit???????

What is going to happen to the Cyber Crime Unit? I understand that most positions, especially LE, are safe, but may be sent to FDLE. Any word?

That is the latest word. Who knows for sure. Probably won't know until the end of the legislative session.

Too bad the administration in the AG's Office (2011 edition) did not and do not see the importance of having a Law Enforcement Unit devoted entirely to protecting OUR children in cyberspace. The AG's CPCU was an example of a unit that other states are trying to copy. What the CPCU accomplished will never be matched at FDLE, they will be addressing whatever the "flavor of the day" might be in computer crimes, just as FDLE has always done. CPCU was devoted to protecting OUR children, single mission. May the next administrastion see the wisdom of the prior 2 administrations.
