DIF does more in a week than you wanna bees do in a year, A-hole!

DIF does plenty of work. So do all of the other agencies out there. The call-out reference was to the fact that while other investigators get cell phones and are told they can be called 24/7, the reality is that they don't.

We actually do get called out on a 24/7 basis. We respond to fires at 0230 the same as we do at 1430. Our investigations can take place hundreds of miles from the nearest office, because with one exception, we all cover multiple counties. In the SFM, when you are told that you can be called 24/7, believe it, because it will happen.

Some of our scenes are massive and require the assistance of various detectives, so even if you're not the on-call, you're getting called out at first light.

Investigators of FWC, DEP, FHP, (certain units of) FDLE, and Agriculture also need to respond to incident scenes at all hours. No offense to others like DIF, ABT, AG's Office, etc., but I've never heard of a beverage emergency or an insurance emergency.

As far as the comment on not needing guns...yes they do. Regardless of desk duties, they are still LEO's and do arrest offenders.
