    Just a suggestion, have you considered a stint in the military first? I believe the Army has a 2 year enlistment, with an honorable discharge from the armed forces that juvenile record won't be so much of a factor. While in the military you could also knock out a 2 year degree. Even some time in the reserves might help, things are pretty competative right now. Good luck.

    I read today on the HCSO public website where the office is having a job fair and recruiting for Detention Deputies. Starting pay is 44K per year and in todays economy that aint that bad. Something to consider.
