Domestic Dispute Lands Miami-Dade Officer In Jail

A Miami-Dade police officer found himself on the other side of the law Friday as he faced a bond court judge over allegations his girlfriend made that he "shoved her against a concrete wall" and "began to grab and tug on his service firearm in a threatening" manner, according to a Miami police report.

A judge ruled that there was enough probable cause for Khary White, 29, to face a misdemeanor assault and domestic battery. He was held on $2,500 bond.

It all began Thursday, Aug. 5th at 3:30 p.m. when White arrived at his girlfriend's house with his mother and cousin on the 2000 block of Northwest Fourth Court in Miami to take his child and retrieve personal items, according to the police report.

During that visit, White's girlfriend told him she no longer wanted a relationship with him, the report states. Soon after the couple began to argue and the report states that White became "irate and violently shoved the victim against a concrete wall."

The girlfriend later told police that she felt intimidated and threatened because White was in his full police uniform and had tugged at his firearm, the report states.

Miami-Dade police said they were aware of the allegations against White and has been relieved of duty with pay, according to Det. Javier Baez
