How would the guy drive since he didn't blow he won't have a license for a year. Pretty simple to figure out his future in LE is done for now

Re: LSCO Deputy arrested after DUI crash
Come on guys! You know he's a goner and he deserves it. No union could save him and he doesn't deserve to be saved.

Atleast he stopped and didn't flee. He probably had opportunity to do so, but being the honest person he probably is, he stayed to face the music.

Re: LSCO Deputy arrested after DUI crash
I know this is a delicate issue and I understand the Brotherhood, the Thin Blue Line, and all the rest...and I believe in it but...he caused an accident, someone was hurt, and the victim noticed he was impaired. Given recent events, the responding Deuty's career was on the line. Do you seriously think that Deputy had any room for discretion?

Re: LSCO Deputy arrested after DUI crash
We got "here" when a member of this agency extended a bit of professional courtesy to a Deputy from another agency and lost his rank and nearly his career for his trouble. And that was a simple traffic stop. This situation involved property damage and a victim at the scene watching the actions of the trooper and deputies. We will never know just how intoxicated this guy was because he refused FSTs and intoxyliser. Even so, a state trooper determined probable cause for arrest existed. That should tell you the guy was pretty slammed.
No matter what he does for a living, ever trust a drunk to do the right thing. Particularly one who is standing in front of you because he did the wrong thing in the first place. And one more thing: Professional courtesy is mine to extend, not yours to demand. If you are looking for someone to call a scumbag, he is currently on administrative leave from the Hendry County Sheriff's Office pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation.
