    DISCIPLINE?

Why are officers being reprimanded outside of the guidlines of the discipline matrix of the gerenal orders? Seems like a double standard (or state ethical violation) that officers have to follow general orders but the command staff can punish you any way they see fit, including harsh punshment without progressive discipline or remedial training.

I call fro a discipline review committee comprised of 2 command staff members, 2 members of the same rank as the disciplined officer, and 1 member from an outside agencey. TRANSPARENCEY.

This committe will review the findings to see if the officer was treated fairly during the investigation and determine discipline fairly. This is also state law under FS 112

I TOTALLY agree. what is up with all the write ups, I rather have capt z back. All he would do is give you an a$$ chewing, and you would go on your way and it was forgoten about. now it seems like there is a race to see who can administer the most write ups and ruin someones career. but its the all the lieutenants around the pd's fault. they are too scared to back up their officers and sgts. but they wont because they forgot how to be a cop or they were never one to begin with

Or even better, we have administrators that have lots of police experience but no Tribal experience. It is safe to say that the dynamics of this dept are different from BSO due to our bennefits package and our limitations of enforcement due to the community we serve. As such, we should be treated fairly.

The lt's are in fear, so is will, so they take it out on the troops. If we had good supervision we would not have these issues. The tribe is getting short changed. The longer this goes on the worse it's going to be. Some dept's are starting to hire with good benefits.

Im an so over hearing about BSO, NEWSFLASH, anyone who is retired/worked/fired from BSO needs to understand that if it worked overthere it is not going to automatically work here. there needs to be a wake up call for some of these people

The bso people don't understand we have become a security agency. At one time this dept. was great. Anyway we need to share information on this site based on facts. The problem is still here. I think about 60 percent of the dept. has applications at other dept's. That sends a message. None of us has actually seen the budget, why?

Lets Trouble shoot. We need to start a plan to get our point accross. Bottom Line is Crime is Up, we are understaffed, and morale is low. This is a recipe for disater. Any suggestions? Did anyone show up to the awards banquet other than the do boys and do girls. It is sad but it was an unwritten agreement on our Rez that no one wold go to support this madness.

    Re: DISCIPLINE?

Does it matter who won? It was not you, me, or any of the of the people who really deserves an award! Now back to the topic at hand, Discipline. Does that really matter either/ Let's face it, the progressive discipline matrix is for the people who are protected by the powers that be. If you are the in crowd they follow the matrix, if you are not, well you know the answer to that! Nothing lasts forever, go to work, do your job, and look to the future. I leave you with this quote, "The longer we dwell on our misfortunes, the greater is their power to harm us!"
