You make it sound as if you want him to be called out and embarrassed by the media. If that's the case I hope you're not a LEO. If anyone should be written about and embarrassed in the media it should be the clowns who run this circus. They know who they are.

“Body cameras have more of a potential to invade privacy,” the ACLU noted. “Police officers enter people’s homes and encounter bystanders, suspects and victims in a wide variety of sometimes stressful and extreme situations.”
There are a number of ways such cameras could violate privacy. One would be if police loaded video footage of a suspect onto YouTube or sold it to a media outlet. Americans love to laugh at the antics of drunken or out-of-control people on TV or the computer screen. You might not think that’s so funny when it is you or one of your loved ones being turned into a national or international laughingstock.
    Police Cameras in Your Home
The ACLU is concerned that police might keep the cameras running when they enter private homes. That could be construed as a warrantless search or an attempt to gather evidence."

"Lawsuit" should learn the law first. Ever heard of the Plain View Doctrine?

You're an idiot! There's only one reason someone like you and several others in this police department would speak out against cameras and try to quote law (which you obviously have no clue about) along with writing so much against it. It's because you obviously are not of moral, or ethical character. You I'm sure are afraid of getting caught "doing something or nothing".

we can go back and forth with this non-stop, the bottom line is the commissioners, mayor, city manager and ever our command staff (if that's what you want to call them) wont care about our gripes or complaints, if anything it'll only make them oppose our views out of spite. the thing we have to do if we really want to get rid of these cameras is make the community hate them. let them know that they don't have a choice about being recorded, let them know that the videos are public record and could potentially be viewed by anyone. plain view doc or not, let them know that the outside and inside of their homes are now on video as public record, let them know the start up cost and potential maintenance cost of the cameras and the fact that, that money could go elsewhere to benefit the community. let them know every potential negative aspect of the cameras as the concerns of the general public and let them know how to voice their complaints to the city commissioners. they may not care what we have to say, but when the community expresses their disgust with the cameras, and when the spineless politicians look to be reelected, they'll start to listen.

well said, the people in the city don't know or care about the plain view doctrine and other legalities that MM1 wants to 'educate' us on this site. they care about one thing, privacy. once we start informing them about how their privacy is being invaded they'll speak up. tell em any hood rat from any city could look at the footage we make of their places and see what cars they drive, know when theyre not home, know if they have a security system or dogs, see what's in their places and if its worth breaking into. if a cop came to my door with a camera I wouldn't even answer the door. and the admin thinks these will increase productivity?? its simple human nature, when every single action that you take is under the microscope, you will take less action. as far as im concerned, every min of my workday will be viewed, analyzed and Monday morning quarterbacked. and officers that don't have that mentality are gonna be the ones getting tripped up I think. you forget you left it on, now worry about everything you said to everyone and how it can misconstrued, even what you say alone in your own vehicle. and the only people on here that say they don't have a problem with them are the ones that don't have to wear em. you think CK would feel different if he had to wear one on swat? if the admin had to wear em you think they would be showing up on all the calls they do?

Really ? Does the decision to make the accreditation unit the Unit of the Year not show you which direction our agency is headed?

I remember when we used to do police work here.
