Guys this crab is for real, a deputy just passed away from this virus. All nonsense being put aside about this administration, and it is clear that that decisions are being done in good faith, but at the same time they are clueless. Please put your safety first at this point, nothing else matters. We keep hearing from the CM praise about the jobs the city employees are doing, very easy to work from your house rather be out there on the streets like us. You are not going to catch the Virus from your keyboard and the strawberry Pop Tart next to it. We hope that at end of the day this commission we appreciate the job that is being done now and will reward us, most likely that won’t happen. We are no different in there eyes than any other employee. You hear and see these other agencies that are being given hazard pay, they are also the cities that are highly paid and actually have a commission in place that care and understand the job law enforcement does. At the end of the day all that does matter is our lives and families. We only have more ground later on to stand ground with the city for a decent contract. We have all learned from this what happens when you lose secondary employment and are at the lower half of the pay scale in your County. Be safe and let’s get through this.
