Go work some off duty and come back when you can afford it.

I have seen one in a pawn shop for 1200.00 in a wooden box, glass top, letter of auth. It was beautiful. I wish I would have bought mine as well, I am kicking myself in the butt now.

That gun was given to me as a Christmas present from my Step dad at the time. After he passed away my ex step siblings took that gun from my mother along with many other things. My stepdad had bought it for my father but my father passed away before he gave it to him. He then gave it to me for Christmas. My dad was the director of the Highway Patrol for ten years. Really upsets me that this gun was taken from me.

I'll give you $250, cash, tomorrow. Tough economy ya know. And Troopers are desperate to feed their families.

Just very upsetting. That gun had a lot of sentimental value to me.

I loved those .357 magnums from the old days.
I remembered how some of you guys wore them on the side.
    Those where good old days.

Now I hear the patrol is not the same. I was a duty officer from 1978 - 1982
then moved to California were I started a business. I kept in touch with
some people there and they say it's gotten bad.
