    Washington Police Shot Dead

    That's the headline I saw in today's St. Petersburg Times here in Tampa, Florida. From the LEOAFFAIRS.COM family and brother and sister officers of the Tampa Police Department, we offer our sincere condolences. Our prayer is for the families and 9 children left behind. A senseless and tragic event. The only piece of good news I just became aware of is that Seattle police are now reporting that they just shot and possibly killed the suspect, Maurice Clemmons (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8386666.stm).

    In case anyone is not familiar with the story of 4 Lakewood PD (in Parkland County) police officers being gunned down in a coffee shop ambush about 35 miles south of Seattle, here are some links:

    The Washington State Lodge has asked that we forward the following information out to everyone regarding hotel rooms for members attending the funeral for the Lakewood Officers.

Those attending should be enroute to the service by 1000 hours. All law enforcement officers will be given first seating as there is expected to be 20,000+ in attendance.
