Watch what you say dumbass......With that strategy of yours, all the take homes for the rank and file may also be on the chopping block if a fiscal emergency is announced and the contract reopened. Hmmmm let's see.....the rising costs of gasoline...you are right...that is a savings.....not just for staff but for ALL police. What is your f--king aversion to splitting staff and the rest of the rank and file? True, the staff should be on line with the rest of the rank and file when and if cuts come. But, do you truly think that the staff will take cuts and not the the rest of the officers. Are we back to that s--t again? Didn't we just learn something? You aim your arrows high at the tops of the department for whatever reason you feel is correct. You draw back the bow string and let the arrows fly. Only, the reach their apex and come flying back down to the the rest of the rank and file.

hey, here is a novice approach.........Perhaps the entire Miami Police Department should move as one body until we get through this fiscal crisis that looms. Then we can go back to the us versus them. MPD as a unit is so f--king weak because of all the bullcrap that has been going. I can think of no better time to unite and look strong as one than now.

So yeah, go ahead and take the staff's cars.......then start taking the take home cars too or require cops to pay for their fuel for any costs over $2.50 a gallon. Pandora's box sits there waiting to be opened. Go ahead dumbass.. Open it!

What he said was to make the staff drive assign vehicles, not to take their cars away, you save money right there. There is no need for them to drive $40,000 vehicles. As for the rank/file,if you take away the take home program,it will cost more money. Now except for a few dummies that don't take care of the vehicles the fleet is in better shape. You know how long it will be after roll-call for units to 09?they will have to run around the parking lot looking for the cars, some they won't find, othersmay have dead batteries or flat tires, some officers will hide the cars or keys.In an emergency the delay can cost lives.By the way all of the above used to be SOP before the take home program. So STFU..

We already run around the south station looking for cars or riding two man. Why wouldnt the city just tell us to rotate cars until after the emergency. That way we don't need new cars or so many cars. It may be cheaper, but by how much? The cost of a new car? So STFU dumba$$.
