    Micro managing at it's best

So here we are in the mico managed world of ABT...... Now you'll have to put the time you've completed you LPI on the new BLE form. Let's kill some more trees for new forms......
My head hurts...guess Toolbert got one more dig in before he messes up Tampa.

The new form is a tool for the MAN to track your field movements. It won't be long and a job task analysis will reveal you aren't properly completing your inspections. It is not too late for you to see the light.
Hint - an inspection should take more than 3 minutes. Get to work.

The new form is problems, problems, problems. Do inspectors just not use the PDA now? Where do you file the form? Who keeps changing these forms?

Micro managing my ass. Any time you slugs see an effort by management to get an honest days work out of your sorry ass you start crying the blues. If you think you're being mistreated call Obama. Maybe he'll tell you to just stay home because you don't do anything anyhow and he'll send you a stimulas check. The best way for you slugs to understand the concerns of management is to get promoted. It may just be the worst thing that could ever happen to you.

    To someone in management,

There are those here who are little girlie men and big complainers for sure. But there are those of us here who actually do bust our humps to do a good job and certainly don't need another silly form to do it. Cops/Beverage Agents were doing this job long before these silly forms and I am sure we can get it done still.

You sound like someone that I would not have a problem supervising. Micro managing is not necessary when people like you know their job and do their job and supervisors who have these type of people should be mindful of their work ethic and leave them alone. Have a good (and productive) day.

To Someone in management who reads this BS,

If management did their job this form would not be nessasary, keeping track of your agents and the job they do is one of the management's responsibilities. If an agent is really set out to work lets say 20 hours a week and get paid for 40, he will simply lie on this form. An Agent with no ethics is not going to simply step up to the plate just because the new form wants times on it. It is managements job to weed these Agents, not to rely on a form to do your job.

Since you are reading the BS on this site, then you know the problems we are having, why aren't you doing something about it? Before you ask...we are the low man on the totem pole, it is your job to look after your agents, not our job to make you do your job.

Agents who know their job and do their job should be left alone (and appreciated) by a supervisor. These are the people that make a supervisor look good. It's not the supervisor's job to do the job for the agent but to be there to assist by way of advice, instruction or perhaps even rolling up his sleeve and assisting in a manual task like helping to load a U-Haul truck with a large seizure as an example. I agree that forms are not a good measure of a person's work ethic or product. Conversely, a well written report is and any supervisor worth his (or her) salt will recognize that attribute as well as other skills and maintain a good and professional working relationship with that individual. Screw the forms, however, we all know that certain forms are necessary to do our job but one designed to allow a person in authority to say "gotcha" is not one that I would endorse.
