    Leon County Chases for TPD?

Maybe LCSO should take over TPD if they have to chase the bad guys for them.

The Leon County Sheriff's office says a car was reported stolen from a Wakulla County residence Sunday afternoon and was spotted at Marcus Meadows mobile home park in Tallahassee around two Monday morning.

Deputies say the Tallahassee Police Department tried to pull the suspect over during a routine traffic stop but he fled. The suspect then led LCSO deputies on a chase.

The chase ended when the suspect crashed the stolen vehicle into a lake.

The suspect was able to escape on foot and remains on the loose.

He is described as a white man with brown curly hair, around 30-40 years old.

He was last seen wearing a hat, a dark shirt, and khaki shorts.

If you have any information on his whereabouts you can call the Tallahassee Police Department at 850-891-4200.

Never believe what the press writes....

TPD attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in the city limits, and the vehicle failed to stop. TPD did not pursue them. Several minutes later, LCSO recieved a traffic crash at the mobile home park where the vehicle had crashed into a pond. The driver bailed before LCSO arrived.

Following night, LCSO attempted to stop another stolen vehicle that was involved in a burglary. It fled from them, and they utilized spike strips, and the vehicle was stopped. Driver was the same guy as the night before.

The LCSO is a waste of an agency. As a previous employee, I can say that first hand the leadership is piss poor and they only care about pleasing the voters and not "rocking the boat". The Deputies have good intentions, it is the leadership that holds them back. They don't like tickets, traffic stops, or even arrests unless it makes them look good. What a waste of resources.

I'll never forget the time a lone TPD officer was x31 from the city into the county on a strong armed robber and I was told to come back to the office to turn in paperwork so my fat and lazy supervisor could go home. Thanks for all you do TPD, because you're the only thin blue line holding that town together.
