    FT. LAUDERDALE POLICE SALARIES!

For those of us making $40,000 as a PO. Check out the list of the 300 highest paid workers in Ft. Lauderdale. See if you can find any cops in the top 300.

    Re: FT. LAUDERDALE POLICE SALARIES!

They don't pay them because of how hard they work. They pay them because they are real cops that have to deal with real criminals on a dialy basis. We are seen as Kiddie Cops who deal with kids. Like it or not that's a fact of life. The district feels that we can be replaced with security guards and utilize the local cops to assist if needed. You won't find any city in the world that feels that they don't need their cops. The sooner you realize this the easier it will be to accept the fact that we will never be paid what the municipal cops get paid even though you may work harder.

we are being downsized. Its that simple. thats why there are no new people hired. no OT. no training. no raises. They want us to leave. The union just allowed the board to spend millions on security guards. how come they did not try to stop it.

Can we at least get some new marching shirts. Mines is getting old. I want mines to say.

MY UNION SOLD ME OUT AND ALL I GOT WAS THIS LOUSY T SHIRT! :snicker:

You're mistaken. When they say they are downsizing they mean that they don't want anybody that's over 5' 6".

He's right. If you guys want more money go make your case on what YOU GUYS do and leave the municipal and county police departments out of it. There is no comparison.Right now you guys are enjoying a Spring Break cause the kiddies are out of school. (It's your slow time) When it comes to the regular p.d.s there is no slow time, no spring breaks, no holidays, etc. We are 24/7 for real. There lays the difference. You guys want more money, go convince your bosses but don't compare yourselves with the real cops.

    Not true Jinko

Yes, it's Spring Break and the kiddies are home. However, we are dealing with break-ins and trespassers left and right. It's not like our job stops when the kids go on vacation. True, maybe our work load is different than yours. You hot shots in the municipalities want to deal with juvenile crimes? I don't think so! Let's support each other out here rather than tell us we don't work as much as you do, thus don't deserve the pay! We deserve to be compensated for a job YOU REAL COPS don't want to be involved with.

Fatnandez gets on here, not because he has anything new to report but simply to spread fear. YES, he wants to run for the union again, beware! Last time he did that it was only to benefit himself and his friends, not the members. Check the record and see who traveled most while on the union. Check who got the lion's share of the raise while he was there. It's all public record. He used your dues to feed his face, that size doesnt come cheap. Caution!!! Fatnandez, we're on to you. You've been asked over and over to bring suggestion rather than criticism. Again, what would you differently if your arse even fit in the Chiefs chair, or the Presidents chair? I know you dont fit and we wouldnt vote for you, but lets pretend. No answer, you just want to talk and write about those who work tirelessly on behalf of our members. You're so pathetic! The officers keep filing grievances on you because you suck!! Face it!!

True Dude, whoever you are, you are right on. Moreover, tell him to discuss his personal performance before he throws stones. He can't perform but wants to criticise others. He doesn't show up on calls and when he does show up he messes everything up.

I've noticed most posts on here have something to do with him. One common denominator in this whole department, sad. The only good thing is most people dont have to mention him by name we all know who the sorry Lts in the south are.
