A Hillsborough County deputy and his wife were arrested Tuesday evening after a domestic dispute, according to Polk County Sheriff's Office reports.

Craig D. Henson and his wife, Joycelyn, were charged with domestic violence battery and booked into the Polk County Jail on Tuesday night. A judge granted their release Wednesday, but the conditions of their release will be determined today.

Shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday, Polk sheriff's deputies received a report about a possible domestic violence incident at the Hensons' Mulberry home, reports said.

The investigation revealed that the two had an altercation after Joycelyn Henson attempted to answer her husband's ringing cell phone, reports said. The caller hung up when she answered.

Craig Henson, 40, told PCSO deputies that his wife became angry over the incident and threw something at him, striking him in the face.

Henson said he then 'kicked at' his wife but wasn't sure if he hit her.

Joycelyn Henson, 40, told deputies that she was frustrated and a ball accidentally hit her husband when she threw several items down while looking for her keys to leave, officials said.

She also told PCSO deputies that Deputy Henson kicked her in the stomach, reports said.

The couple have been married for 13 years and have three children

I think the poster meant the part about saving his career being false. Thats how I took it.

I understood it in the same manner as the above.
